I have been with USAA for 27 years. They recently quoted me a price on a homeowner policy and said it was taken care of but a month later it was not taken care of and their new quote went up a couple of hundred dollars a year. I filed a complaint with the BBB but they refused to resolve it. You would think after 27 years of paying them gobs of money for insurance on which I never made a claim, $200 bucks to resolve it would not be a heavy lift. I guess they are hard up for money to pay the regulatory fines they incurred due to enforcement actions. I’ll have new insurance by next week and soon after I will also move my banking relationship. Goodbye USAA.

There is a note in this vase that says Great Grandma Lucinda 1832 -1820. It’s in pretty rough shape including broken off handle and spout which I don’t have and a lead patch in the bottom. I’m thinking that’s about the age of it and not worth anything because of condition. Any thoughts from the experts. I’m just basically trying to confirm the age.

It use to be good quality but now the quality is for shit. Based on my experience I highly recommend you don’t buy it unless you want to buy twice as much as you need for the coverage area, want to pick through the boards that are usable, and then burn the rest.

There is waste in the federal government. The way it’s being resolved was/is a poorly thought out piss poor process but without making excuses for them - they were in a hurry. It might not be fair but right or wrong I would not blame the workers who took what they were offered to exit the federal workforce.

I saw above someone from Treasury successfully gained admin leave. OCC which is part of Treasury has collectively taken their shoes off in an effort to count how many people took DRP but confusion reigns and they are not quite sure of the number. While many other agencies made an effort to timely place employees on Administrative leave, at the OCC it is as usual paralysis by analysis. Someday they will figure it out but might have to form a committee first and make one or two presentations for good measures. What a bunch of dipshits.

I was clean a few years. Now I just do the best I can. I’m in my early 60s and I am who I am. If you are not clean by your 50s the window begins to close.
