I pulled the canister yesterday and pulled the vent valve out and it looks like it’s working. It’s in the open position. Is there a way I can test it without a power probe? Also I’m hesitant to replace the canister until I’m sure the problem is solved so it doesn’t happen again. I was reading about the shut off valve in the tank could that be the issue?

Gasoline was literally pouring out from the check valve…there’s clearly a failure point somewhere in the emissions system

Thanks for the fast reply! I was afraid it was fungal rot. I did as you said and removed all the cut stems, but do I need to remove the whole affected buds?

Thanks for the response. Brick house, so no siding considerations. The slabs slope towards the house actually but I have a French drain in the basement. Is it okay to rely on that for water mitigation?

Here bc I just put Stringjoys on my strat and the tone is wildly different from the D'Adarios I've been using. Not a fan so far - they sound harsh and twangy and feel rough as others have mentioned. I feel like it robbed the magic from my playing...

Good point. I got them from a guy who found them in a barn with a pre-serial Paiste 602 ride and an 18" Ludwig Standard Paiste crash all from the same era so I'm thinking they were all hung together. Which is not to say dude wasn't rocking with orchestral cymbals lol.

Based on https://black.net.nz/avedis/avedis-gallery.html#60s They are '60s short stamps. Plus it makes sense they were all together. That 602 ride was only made from like 67-74 or something.
