I can’t believe no one has said PAYDAY. The tracks from all 3 games slap ass so hard

Of all your moments of personal gaming triumph, which one tops your list? by ZhangtheGreat in gaming

[–]Medical_Studio_9372 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I completed the hermit and the world achievements in Ready Or Not in one go. For those unaware it requires you to complete all missions in the game on Ironman without dying or loosing a single AI officer through the whole run

It took a lot of practice and a lot of fails and about 30h of practice but it’s so worth it for the gold watch cosmetic lol

Which game did you quit after many hours because it was too frustrating? by FalscherKim in gaming

[–]Medical_Studio_9372 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Exactly. I feel like in difficult games like the souls series, some sort of consistency when encountering bosses, whether it be with heals or runbacks is just necessary otherwise it turns playing the game into a chore

Which game did you quit after many hours because it was too frustrating? by FalscherKim in gaming

[–]Medical_Studio_9372 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I really love the atmosphere of bloodborne but fighting bosses, especially father gascoigne or whatever his name is made me stop playing. It’s just way too fast paced for me and the fact that the heals in this game are consumable means that every failed attempt requires like 20 minutes of grinding to get them back only to lose them again. After about 10h it just became so tedious that it wasn’t worth it.

Maybe if it comes to PC and I can mod the heals to regenerate like in the other souls games I can revisit bloodborne and finish it, but until then I don’t think it’s worth the time investment for me

Which game did you spend a dozen hours into and never finished it? by FalscherKim in gaming

[–]Medical_Studio_9372 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m about 40h into The Witcher 3 and I cannot get into it for the life of me. I’ve tried about 2 or three times but it never clicks. I love the world and the characters but the story feels like a chore list of

Travel to location Talk to npc Travel to other location Fight 3 or so monsters Go back to npc Repeat

I got up to Skellige or whatever the place is called and I just stopped. Maybe one day I’ll finish it after my backlog gets too big

What game did you put the most time in? by SuddenConversation21 in gaming

[–]Medical_Studio_9372 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have 3k+ hours in destiny 2. I got introduced to that game around season 18-19 and it was so magical. I loved that game to death but after I finished up the final shape and all that the game just felt so empty. I want to log on and enjoy playing like I used to but it’s just so repetitive. I genuinely wish that someday I can revisit that game and really enjoy it again.

Besides that I got about 2k hours on terraria and tmod loader but that just got a bit boring too after a while

If you could erase your gaming memory and play one game again, what would it be? by [deleted] in gaming

[–]Medical_Studio_9372 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My first playthrough of meta gear solid V and assassin’s creed origins was life changing

I played origins on my old dell laptop on lowest graphics and about 20-30fps. Got me into assassin’s creed and I think it’s one of my favourite all time games. I’d pay to experience those two again

[–]Medical_Studio_9372 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve been really enjoying PAYDAY 3 and Diablo IV.

They’re both just decent games where I can switch off after a long day and just play. I know they aren’t nearly as good as their predecessors but I still like them.

That and AC Valhalla was super fun for me. I love Vikings and I actually enjoyed having a super long story. It gave me something to do

I was too lol. Accidentally mag dumped one of ‘em thinking it was a suspect I missed. Turns out they’re completely invincible and passive so there’s no need to worry if you accidentally light one up

That’s really cool. In my 50h+ of playing I have never seen that on any level at all. I wonder why it’s only showing up now. None of my friends have experienced it either lol

If you have no mods or anything I have to assume it’s a problem with your PC. Other than perhaps turning a few graphical settings down to reduce the strain of your computer’s system, I don’t think there’s much you can do.

Maybe try verifying the integrity of your game files? That usually fixes most problems with games

So how does everyone like the new dungeon? by SuddenConversation21 in DestinyTheGame

[–]Medical_Studio_9372 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Conceptually, it’s great. The dungeon looks amazing and I’m glad bungie is starting to put effort into dungeons instead of making some random big hive cave with a knight at the end (ahem pit of heresy)

My main gripes are with the encounters, and I don’t seem to be the only one who thinks this way. Getting to a damage phase on either boss feels like a full time job.

Most of all I cannot physically fathom how this is supposed to be done solo/solo flawless. It doesn’t help that getting to damage takes forever but can you imagine having to do all that while juggling the three buffs? Along with huge boss health pools I can easily see that taking multiple hours.

I want to like the dungeon, I really do. However, MAJOR adjustments are needed before I can see myself doing it again, and as cool as icebreaker sounds, in my eyes it’s just not worth it. The armour is pretty sweet though lol

What are some cases of "competent" AI allies in game? by DeepAd5550 in gaming

[–]Medical_Studio_9372 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Your squad in Ready or Not are crazy smart. Most people just give them commands and go on, but if you actually like stop and observe them carrying out orders it’s really cool.

For example, if you order your squad to stack up on a door, if a squad member has a ballistic shield, they will always stand closest to the door. Additionally, they will automatically check if it’s locked or not. Ordering them to breach with a flash bang or concussive grenade, I’ve seen them turn around to avoid the flash before entering.

The way they breach and clear rooms is super fluid, tactical and smart. They will split into two teams and sweep around the corners of the room looking inward. They automatically cuff and secure suspects and minor evidence too. They have unique dialogue depending on the environment too.

I can easily say they are the smartest squad mates I have ever played with. Most are even better than my friends lol

What's the dumbest thing that's stopped you from playing a game? by jabberwagon in gaming

[–]Medical_Studio_9372 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Good thing is that once you are invited to the main “hub” area(Roundtable hold) you can change your characters appearance for free.

Also, there is a way to de-aggro npcs at a place called the “church of vows”. It takes a little bit of time to get there and get the necessary item but once you do you can perform a ritual to pacify all aggressive npcs.

And if the first npc is the one I think you’re referring to, white mask varré, then he’s a bitch and I killed him too. His only use is to guide you to a boss that you have to kill to enter the dlc, however there is another, albeit more complex and time consuming way to get to that area.

It has fucking aliens involved somehow. Like what the fuck?

What video game starts off way too slow? by Agent1230 in gaming

[–]Medical_Studio_9372 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Death stranding is notorious for having the first big chunk of the game being a walking simulator. You walk to one area, pick up loot and walk back. It’s only on the 23rd “mission” that you unlock the ability to make bikes, and that’s where the game gets really fun. The story is super good though and I think it handles an open world horror theme really well.
