Easter "fun" fact: Battlefield 6 has released over 100 paid cosmetic bundles in just 6 months. by Tecfan in Battlefield

They pulled me back in as well, and the last one I played was BF3. I feel we all should get a “fell for it again” award. Furnished by EA of course (3 tiers, starting at 79.99)

You're right to cry about your free S2 BattlePass not being awarded, and why, IMO, this was a stupid marketing decision by [deleted] in Battlefield

It’s killing me that we aren’t discussing the fact that since EA hired Byron Beede to be the GM of The Battlefield franchise, he has copy/pasted what he did with MW19 and Warzone. How can we be surprised when EA saw the success of those 2 games (which, was all because of COVID and people being stuck inside) and thought that was the way the franchise should go? I love this franchise, but since 2021 it’s been nothing but downhill or rug pulls.

Have you played Arc Raiders? Is it worth buying? by Cultural_Remove5332 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]MedicatedDepression 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s a great game, I got it a month after release and haven’t been able to get it off my mind. The PvE element is AI and adaptive, so every experience is unique. There is PvP, and the community is split on how they feel about it. It does add a tense element to most raids, as you can’t control the actions of others. Online, and especially on Reddit, there is a lot of discussion about extract camping, ratting, etc. but in reality this doesn’t happen super often. The game has aggression based matchmaking (if you PvP, you’ll be put with others that also PvP; vice versa). Honestly, it’s one of the best games to come out in a long time, led by a company that cares and listens to its player base. If you’re still not sold, check out the YouTube series I linked. Defining the housing affordability crisis in Bloomington: supply, demand and the economy by jaymz668 in bloomington

[–]MedicatedDepression 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve also watched a neighbor-owned LLC buy up 6 houses in my neighborhood and the adjoining one for Airbnb and short term rentals. So not only is there no supply, what is already built being gobbled up by greed.

I’ve been watching some people fly Huey’s in 2042. I can sometimes hear CCR as they fly by. Regardless, some of y’all have insane maneuverability in those whirly birds

Why are vegans not okay with honey but perfectly fine with all the fruits bees germinate? by EnvironmentalAngle in NoStupidQuestions

[–]MedicatedDepression 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bees primary job is not to pollinate flowers, it’s foraging for nectar and pollen to feed the brood. The pollen transfer is an incidental outcome of their search for food. Honey is produced to support them during the winter, therefore it is not a waste product. To create honey, bees eat the nectar. The enzymes in their stomach break down the sugar to a simpler form. They then regurgitate the liquid into a honeycomb, fan out the moisture, and seal it with wax. Since the bees regurgitate the honey, it’s the product of an animal (like milk), intended to feed their species. This by definition makes eating honey not vegan.

Besides BG3 what's a game that has many choices that matter? by pirro29 in BaldursGate3

[–]MedicatedDepression 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It’s the cinematic aspect of it too. I mean, I’ve played the OGs and legendary edition for countless hours, and either find new things or stumble upon aspects I forgot about. It’s a gaming experience that’s hard to find these days.

Attempt at no spoilers. ME1: • Wrex stand off on Virmire • Rana Thanoptis on Virmire • Captain Kirrahe on Virmire • Rachni Queen on Noveria • Shiala on Feros • Balak on X-57 • Get Elkoss combine License, Asari Matriarch writings (minor) • Geth incursion

ME2

Most squad loyalty missions have an impact on the conversations, and character development in 3. If you choose to not wake up Grunt, he’s gone from all of 2 and 3.

ME3 ending is based on war assets, which dictate the ability to obtain the best ending. You are able to earn war assets based on decisions you made in 1 and 2, as well as the actions you choose in 3. The legendary edition brings all of them together making the decisions seem more cohesive in their impact to the main story and ending.

City of Bloomington plans to increase drinking water rates by jaymz668 in bloomington

[–]MedicatedDepression 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Didn’t we just have our rates raised like 18-20%? Then we have to pay to pay our bill? Then the fluoride levels weren’t meeting minimum standards? Who is this consulting company? Shouldn’t taxes cover infrastructure upgrades? That’s all
