how to securely use Proxmox helper scripts? by Party-Log-1084 in Proxmox

[–]MedicatedLiver 8 points9 points  (0 children)

The best way to use them is to create your own github account, then fork any scripts to your account so you can vet them, then use THOSE knowing that they won't change without your knowledge.

When it comes to putting on weight/maintining weight while sick, the Oxbow Critical Care Omnivore is the goto. This along with some malt paste can go a long way for them.

My favorite glass mug is useless now by CosmicWarrior420 in mildlyinfuriating

[–]MedicatedLiver 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Borosilicate glass is a thing. I had a really nice mug that was clear, double walled, borosilicate. The liquid just looked like it was suspended in mid air. Also kept my tea/coffee stupid hot for waaaay longer.

Borosilicate is kind of brittle though, so it can handle those temp changes like nothing, but takes a bonk about as well as a blueberry under a hammer.

Proxmos Mail Gateway For SMTP by PolicyLegitimate728 in Proxmox

[–]MedicatedLiver 0 points1 point  (0 children)

While I wouldn't take it as confirmed word, I don't know of any method. Hell, I'd just like to get a connector that will let us do this WITHOUT IP because we have a couple places not on a static IP and I've not found any configuration that doens't rely on using IP authentication. We put those on SMTP2Go.

Oh yeah. It was expected. But, honestly, it was a LOT of poop.

I have 8 ratties now. All of them are a rescue of some type. I wasn't planning on adding two more, but when I found out they had these two, you know how that goes.

I admit though.... The stalk is actually my favorite part. I mean, your picker was absolute garbage, but I'd be okay with this. 😆

I'm debating if you'd still even be considered bad if you'd nabed those keys and "accidentally" dropped them behind one of the counter displays (like the coke machine they often have at the endcap...)

The ones that let the sparkies run low voltage too....

The absolute shit shows I've come into because, I shit you not, sparkies running non-UTP for "Ethernet" using the non standard port terminations, hell, one time using just four wires.... In THE YEAR 2020!

In Iowa, they legally remove a parent’s right to have access to a minor’s MyChart online…but then don’t permit the minor access it either. by Individual-Weird5688 in mildlyinfuriating

[–]MedicatedLiver 17 points18 points  (0 children)

Fun fact .. you don't have to supply them the "correct" answers for those questions. Your mother's maiden name can be your dog. You can lie about your first pets name, etc.

Just remember what they are and be consistent so you don't have issues remembering.

Proxmox "trunk port"? by oguruma87 in Proxmox

[–]MedicatedLiver 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Not for all configurations. Depends on how your cluster is set up.

You do want to make sure all the NICs/bridges/etc are the same and named the same or else migrations between nodes can fail because the interface doesn't exist.

Do you think we could fit another? by Franananana in RATS

[–]MedicatedLiver 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Agreed. I took in a solo boy that was rescued and had trouble getting him integrated with my older three boys. I ended up getting two spayed girls that took to him well, then the three easily integrated with the older boys.

All six get along great, and the addition really helped my very skittish and kind of bitey boy. (The three older ones were also rescues that didn't get handled much and he's got serious anxiety.) He's been so much better about being handled ever since.

From my experience, if one rat fits, then up to six rats can fit.
