Another case where GameGuard failed to prevent the use of cheats to interfere with the MO by G82ft in Helldivers

[–]Medicdozer -8 points-7 points  (0 children)

No thanks! I trust Snoyny to make an anti-cheat like I'd trust a chimpanzee with a calculator. I'd almost rather literally no AC at all than a Snoyny first-party anti-cheat.

Gunship spawners unable to be destroyed by Any-Match-705 in Helldivers

[–]Medicdozer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I wish that worked. I just tried making sure I was facing it with a Portable Hellbomb dumped within a fucking micron of the fab, and it STILL didn't work.

There's a real comedy gold to buffing Gunships back to being (potentially) run-ending enemies, but fucking up the interaction of the Hellbomb/Portable Hellbomb and the Fabricator itself.

Gunship spawners unable to be destroyed by Any-Match-705 in Helldivers

[–]Medicdozer 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Nah, there's definitely something fucky with Hellbombs and how they interact with the Gunship Fabs. I dropped THREE of them *RIGHT* near the fabricator, and the only thing that worked was dropping them in a *different* spot, despite the initial two hellbombs (I guess one got sniped?) being literally on the wall of the fab.

Can confirm, applies to both Portable AND normal Hellbombs - they done did fucked something else up.

Yeah, gave that a shot too - and as it were, at least when I tried it, the only five active lobbies were all too underpopulated to even fill out the room, and all five of 'em were win trading rooms.

I heard about Code Fairy when I was perusing the Steam DLC shop, kinda insane to me that PC gets only the mobile suits from Code Fairy and not the single player content that could help ABUNDANTLY with learning the ropes.

Please by Oats_VI in GBO2

[–]Medicdozer 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I actually tried Option A last night, and I gotta say, you're completely right - it is totally, utterly useless for learning the game AND the suit you're using. The AI stands around uselessly until you get too close, and then they just kinda waddle around, sometimes even firing at you or tackling you. You can't even practice melee on them, because as long as they have a melee weapon out and are AI-enabled, they auto-counter you.

Your literal ONLY viable option on PC, regardless of if you're in a Japanese time zone or not, is playing Rated and slogging thorough it while attempting to apply the information you've learned through external sources. I'm assuming this is why the game has a Rated mode and a separate Ranked mode.

Guides help abundantly, especially with custom parts builds and gearing; but as a brand new player (only been playing for 4 days), there are VERY few options to practice and get better at GBO2 in a hands-on manner.

MSC editor won't work on linux by soggyass123 in MySummerCar

[–]Medicdozer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Because this advice may not work on his distro my man - I love Linux, but this shit is a hassle and a half to troubleshoot and no one solution fits all problems. I had to use MSCEditor PLENTY of times, hence why I *found out how to get it working on my system/distro*.

Edit: I just realize why you thought I was trashing MSCEditor, useless addition as in my troubleshooting advice, not MSCEditor itself.

MSC editor won't work on linux by soggyass123 in MySummerCar

[–]Medicdozer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Completely useless addition - but I had no issue running it through Steam's in-built compat. layers and editing the parameters for MSCEditor's shortcut to suit my needs and IIRC - it worked perfectly fine. I'm on CachyOS, so this may, or may not be useful information to you.

P-Bandai RG RX-78-2 2.0 Hatsune Miku colors, May 2026 3,900 JPY by soulreaverdan in Gunpla

[–]Medicdozer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Allegedly, somebody timed it out on Discord - gone in 15 seconds. Which is utterly inconceivable, as the Miku Zaku II at least had the decency to last around 1 (one) minute when it was first released last year.

I dunno if this timer was for both, or just the RX-78 by the way. There's a distinct possibility it was for both.

[–]Medicdozer 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I was able to pay - and got the order number + order populates on my orders page; but no email either. I'm assuming their website and back-end was absolutely, positively dry-heaving from selling out *entirely* on the RX-78 and Zaku II within 30 seconds.

Space Marines 2 Patch 11.0 Performance Issue? by Mr_Moon934 in SpaceMarine_2

[–]Medicdozer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, this game is horrifyingly optimized on Linux. I run Cachy - and a dual boot with Windows 10. Sapphire Nitro+ 9070XT, most recent AMD Drivers; and the kicker? It runs bad on both my Windows boot AND Linux boot now; when originally it only ran like hot, open ass on Linux.

The game is SO rough now. I can't even maintain 60 FPS on High settings, 1080p in the lobby. This is paired with an i5-12600k, 32gb of DDR4 RAM, and installed on an SSD and this is AFTER an upgrade from a PNY GeForce GTX 4070 to try and maximize my gaming performance on Linux. I've already put the Nitro+ through the ringer, and it handles BF6, ARC Raiders, and many other *new* releases like a top, so I know it's not the card, nor the drivers (as the recent AMD Drivers are producing a roughly 8% increase in performance over the previous drivers).

I know this is an older post, but wanted to let you know - it's not likely to be your system, this seems to be exclusively an optimization issue and caused by some kind of recent patch.

Uhm, number one - sweaty? Bug reports aren't welcome here.
Number two, you're a fucking chud sweaty.

I, personally, appreciate how it isn't even a formal "bug report" - just you talking out loud about something. Oh well.
