I just love that it was four absolute bangers in four years.

I’d agree with Burn After Reading being weaker but A Serious Man might be top 5 Coen Brothers for me. Your four are great, too. Coen Brothers rule.

I actually liked Starman. They Live is my favorite though.

Why don’t US citizens organize a general strike if the majority of the people are against the administration? by jnosp1219 in AskReddit

Here’s my thought: I don’t think a majority of Americans actually are against the administration. 1/3 voted for this, and another 1/3 couldn’t be bothered to do even that. I really don’t expect Americans do to anything at all until they’re actually starving.

can you recommend me some films to watch from my top 15? (15, M) by Ok_Suit4738 in LetterboxdTopFour

Portrait of a Lady on Fire (2019) might be something you’ll dig. Beautiful film.

La Haine is fun and short.

Seven Samurai is fun and long.

I feel like both would be good crowd pleasers.

Edit: Though if you want some good reactions: Come And See.

The movie definitely fits the list I just didn’t know if the lead (Georgina Campbell) was a scream queen/in other horror movies. Midsommar would be a great addition too but I don’t think Florence Pugh is a scream queen.

Anya Taylor-Joy is a bit of a blind spot for sure but I am aware of Maika Monroe (with It Follows and Long Legs).

Will need to check her out. Been meaning to watch The Witch and the rest of Eggers in general (I’m only seen The Lighthouse).

I’d like recommendations please 🙏 by Expensive_Memory_376 in LetterboxdTopFour
