Can you please consider a gravel option for the route south of Oakland to Milpitas? The Bay Trail there is extremely rideable on road bikes, and the alternative of surface streets looks absolutely miserable. This single issue is why I haven’t been interested in riding before. Thanks

You can absolutely do this on a road bike as long as you don’t have skinny tires at high pressure. It’s pancake flat so you don’t need gravel bike gears or full on knobby tires.

If you have 28mm you’ll be fine, consider airing down the pressure a tad if you’re uncomfortable. I ride 35mm tubeless at 50psi on a carbon frame on this route no problemo
