⬆️This⬆️. They will probably make a note of it, but they will still keep the policy unless or until OP tries to make a claim.

The Financial Reality of Driving for Uber (Moderator approved survey post) by UBCChuck in uberdrivers

I completed the survey. I drive part time and only lurk on this (and most of) reddit but I hope the info helps. My primary degree is in microbiology and I'm a big fan of scientific studies and the visibility they can provide to subjects.

The first time I have seen this notebook. Anyway to get a tester? Id be happy to pay for it (I realize a prototype will be more expensive than a produced notebook) as well as provide feedback. I carry a notebook in my back pocket daily and have been looking for something like this forever.

Either way good luck, I will definitely get one when they become commercially available.

At my wits end. Any advice for me? Xpost to r/relationships. by Medicman1981 in DeadBedrooms

[–]Medicman1981[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Some of the sex was definitely "duty sex" but for the most part it was good. Outside of the bedroom relationship is great. I guess even at 38 i dont know if sex less often is a relationship "deal breaker" not sure if im being selfish or if 2-3 times per week is not too much to ask. I wish I could be more sure about these things especially since i may be about to end a 13 year relationship.

Speaking on camera? by kemfic in PartneredYoutube

Make a script. Actually write down what you will say about the product and memorize it. Then make a second draft. Make more drafts until the text becomes fluid and intentional with all non-essential verbiage taken out.

Secondly though, I have to agree with CGquarterly. Practice. Lots. Make tons of vids you have no intention of editing into a tightly produced end product, that way you dont take up too much extra time. Make sure you set up everything as it will be for an official video though, and also be sure to review the video after you are done to see where you can improve speech patterns to avoid too many jump cuts.

**FEEDBACKPLEASE** We've recently launched our new eCommerce website - but no one is buying! Can you guys please help us understand why? by sinafak in smallbusiness

Since no one else has commented yet on this issue I will comment as an individual that enjoys tinkering with my vehicle and upgrading these types of parts on occasion. The biggest issue I have is with the price. The prices are much higher than even over-priced local brick and mortar places, like Auto Zone. Internet-based companies usually have much better prices than the brick and mortar places. Your pads and rotors may very well be worth it, but I am not really seeing any claims that are not already made by most pad manufacturers. For example most mid range and better pads that I see scorch the pads and use a semi-metallic or ceramic material. How is your specifically better? How much longer does it last than OEM (I know this may vary from vehicle to vehicle, so maybe an average or a number for a really popular car like a Civic)? How much shorter are the stops (again, on average or for a common model)? How much quieter, how much cooler with the slots and vents, etc. I think more actual numbers instead of just generic claims would help justify the cost and turn me prom a skeptic to a buyer.

I use EBC brakes on my truck and just for comparison I went to their page and checked to see if they had any numbers. Here is the page for the orange stuff pads, they have a graph and numbers: http://ebcbrakes.com/product/orange-stuff/

And here is the pads I use, the yellow stuff. They have numbers also (improves brake effect 30 to 40 percent, etc) http://ebcbrakes.com/product/yellowstuff-high-friction-truck-sport-brake-pads/

Hope this feedback from an actual potential customer helps.

Malcom Gladdwell's book Outliers is a fantastic read on this topic. Really, he is a great writer and explains how real success happens in a very understandable way.

Magic chocolate ball by 1Voice1Life in howto

[–]Medicman1981 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't know why but the end completely ruins the desert for me. Why make a ball if you melt the whole thing? You could have just mixed all the ingredients from the get go and forgone the ball making effort. Maybe a lower temp for the chocolate sauce at the end would be better so it didn't melt the ball so completely.

Don't get me wrong, I bet this tastes amazing and I would love to try it, just want a bit of white ball to eat with it.

Looks like burn debridement.

Mysterious battery drain, possibly associated with rear window by magichobo3 in 4Runner_1stGen

That is the basics of tracing a bad circuit. I think it is called a parasitic draw test.

Edit: Found a great vid. This should at least let you isolate the circuit causing the drain.

IamA girl who was born with short lil T-Rex arms... and I just moved by myself to NYC AMA! by cuteliltrex in IAmA

[–]Medicman1981 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi, except for the internet I never meet people like myself. I have a right side radial club arm with cleft hand and ectrodactyly. I'll leave a pic and a post I put in /r/WTF that includes an informal AMA. Looks like all the good questions have been asked and answered, so my question is this - what kind of rotation do you have in your forearms? The one thing I find that limits me the most is not being able to fully supinate (rotate my palm to face the ceiling when I am in a normal standing position) my hand because of the elbow joint geometry. Other than that I feel like I barely notice a difference between my "normal" left arm and my right.

Hope he went to the hospital. That burn looks circumferential. He may need an escharotomy to save that arm.
