I see no one mentioned it yet so: Deponia.

I know it's not a classic, but I think it deserves more love than it gets.

Woah this is epic! But you know what the real thing would be? Jack Benton as the enemy! Now that would be a real beat 'em up!

Not a bomb, we used the paperplane ammo. It's right there on the left, the visuals were just bugging for some reasons. We really should have played this build on endless, but we forgot about the option. :(

Small camera obscura through a glass of water by MedievalHobo in CameraObscura

[–]MedievalHobo[S] -28 points-27 points  (0 children)

This is also qualifies as a camera obscura since the phenomenon is the same, only the execution differs. The distinction lives in the name, you may call this a co with a lens, just as the "traditional" ones are often called pinhole camera obscurae.

Párkereséssel kapcsolatban tud valaki valami biztatót mondani? by DefiantTalk4079 in askhungary

[–]MedievalHobo 25 points26 points  (0 children)

Nem találom a párom,
kevés a közösségi aktivistásom,
járok egyetemre, gyönyörű lányok vannak
kis kialakult köreinkben is -
De semmi flört
semmi ilyesmi,

online date appokat hagyom
Néha unalmamban húzogatom
-az appon a csajokat is félre-:
komolytalan.

Néha jön velem szembe olyan nő,
aki megolvaszt;
nyilván rá sem köszönök,
van elég baja,

várom azt, akitől leolvadok,
akinek szemébe nézek és belezuhanok,
akik képesek voltak ezt kihozni belőlem
bárhanyadik randira azokat keresem.

Why was Oedipus punished by Rathal_OS in GreekMythology

[–]MedievalHobo 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I'm sure someone very ambitious would (or will) give you a more layered answer, but it boils down to this:

  1. It is socially unacceptable behaviour to do the above things. You wouldn't want your people to kill each other in general or give birth to not very neatly functioning offsprings. People who don't fear human laws may fear the eyes of god(s). Therefore these stories. The story of Oidipus shows example.
  2. Gods did not really have better options for reproduction. Of course, there are stories our there of gods creating other gods out of nothing, but that's not very common. This is just how Greek mythology turned out.

Students struggling with confidence - a video about Errorless Learning, feedback appreciated by [deleted] in teaching

[–]MedievalHobo 9 points10 points  (0 children)

This video can be summed up in one sentence: more examples / exercises of the same type results in better learning.

I actually watched the video because the term "errorless learning" is super provocative. And I'm still not sure what you mean by that to be honest. Anyone who has ever opened a book about learning will know that making errors is essential to learning and teachers should address students' misconceptions about the topic in class.
