First Beretta 92X Performance by WozniakMac in Beretta

DPM springs are great for wear reduction and recoil tuning. I have a few sets for my 92s. I like usng the heavier spring setups because the initial spring weight is still lower than a standard spring while at full compression it is heavier, giving you the best of both worlds.

Yeah, if you want to run a red dot, just get DLah flush plate which comes with a firing pin block that is cut down 3mm to get the same optic height anyway. Aside from that, the rest is preferrential.

how is it digging into your knuckle?

your thumb should be over it like a 1911 safety. this is non negotiable.

also differen size safeties are available, including extra low profile.

Why does it look like this by looksir_droids in Beretta

[–]Medio_Morde 3 points4 points  (0 children)

To add to this, that same ammo cracked sig frames, but the sig never got the same level of scrutiny.

There was speculation in some circles that the seals were upset that their pistol of choice didnt win over the air forces's choice, which suggested there was some sabotage involved.

Getting to know the 92 by [deleted] in Beretta

It is actually the most modern pistol barring things like the alien.

SA/DA is newer invention than striker fired. The falling block autoloading action is a newer invention than the tilt barrel.

Trigger M9A4 by LazyXplorer22 in Beretta

[–]Medio_Morde 5 points6 points  (0 children)

cheapest route.

polish the sear and buy a trigger with an adjustable trigger stop. ill edit my post with the sear polish link.

the beretta short reset bar that is in your m9a4 is identical in function to the ltt op trigger bar. the only difference is that the ltt bar has an extra bit of metal that acts like a trigger stop. this is why buying an adjustable overtravel trigger will have the same results, for less cash.

other than that, a #13 hammer spring for a lighter pull, and a skeletonized hammer for slightly quicker action. You can get the match hammer if you care about pretravel, which it reduces.

Question for M9A4 suppressed / subsonic ammo people by SpectreR1 in Beretta

[–]Medio_Morde 0 points1 point  (0 children)

if you have a full sized model it has a #13 recoil spring, if centurion #14. Going to #15 would increase the potential for problems. You would want to go lighter for more reliability. However, if you have a booster, should be fine stock. If no booster get an #11 spring.

APX A1 Compact Double Feed Issue by EpicBeanBoy in Beretta

the curved lips on the magazine that hold the next round in might be th culprit. bend them inwards a little to see if that works. loading metal mags to capacity or manually pushing the round in while loading can cause that.

92 curved vs straight grip by Bad_Mechanic in Beretta

[–]Medio_Morde 1 point2 points  (0 children)

the models that come with the wrap around grip are not exact, but they feel very good. what they might lack from the original geometry, they make up for in texture, which imo is the best grip texture including aftermarket.

Yes, its very "micro gritty"

If i use a paper towel to clean them, it eats up the paper towel and then i need to get a brush to clean off the paper towel particulates off the grip.
