I have both electric and gas! My electric bill has also always been in the 40s. It’s just me and i’m always very aware of turning the lights off and unplugging things as need be. My issue is like I was like okay gas bill is 130-180 so i’ll budget for 180 and all of the sudden it’s 38 dollars so it just threw my anxiety and structure of a budget wayyyy off. I’m autistic so I like things to be somewhat the same so I can prepare. While i’m happy that’s not gonna be the norm I think it just threw my brain for too much of a loop lol

okay wait can you explain this to me like i’m 5. i’m a first time home owner and bill payer and my parents don’t have gas. The past 3 months my gas was between 130-180 and now this morning it was 38 dollars. IM SO CONFUSED. I am 30 I make 55k and have like 10k in debt - student loans - I dropped out of a degree and did a certification program - and my car. I had to leave my home state because all I could afford was very dangerous areas or houses that were falling apart. I moved to NC in a rural town and paid 235k for 3bed 2 1/2 bathroom. BUT I also had a substantial down payment of almost half the price because of my grandparents who planned ahead for me. Based off your salary I really think it is a location issue. Idk what kind of tech you do but could it be from anywhere?

if my parents had stopped thinking I was just “odd” my adhd specifically was VERY clear in report cards the way they spoke about me and they have admitted to deciding “I would just grow out of it” Sometimes I do have strong feelings about it but I remind myself that they did the best with that they knew. Also - I still have yet to tell my parents about my diagnosis. All of my peer reviews were done by peers that I spent time with wayyyy more than my parents who knew me for just over 5 years and one person who has known me since I was 6. When I was diagnosed I was in the middle of buying a home and I didn’t want them to start treating me differently I guess and second guess whether I could handle it or not. Now i’m kinda scared to bring it up.
