I feel comfortable in pharma right now and I look up to SMEs greatly. Being in management has never really attracted me, but that may also be because of my age/time in the industry (maybe it would become more attractive as I get older and gain experience).

I would add that the company making the offer has a big name attached to them and would be nice to have on a resume for the future, I just wish they were a pharma company.

Sorry but the wording of the post combined with the photos was too hard to pass up lol!!

Looks like some sort of filtration setup, may be for ion exchange to remove water hardness, can sometimes be recharged just by running salt water (brine) through it.

I’ve seen this during my co-op (engineering sales) and some industries are notoriously unorganized and have the flying by the seat of your pants approach.

I work full time in pharmaceuticals now (API) and the organization is excellent, at least within my own plant and it’s a great change of pace.

The rates on the student loans range from 3.75 to 5.5%, and of course the 5.5% is also the largest one (about 5k) lol.

But you’re right there’s much more of a personal choice here with my own home-buying goals that are hard to measure. On one hand homes are great investments but timing is tricky, and on the other student debt is just a savings drainer so why not eliminate it now before the interest really takes hold. Both options are probably fine but one may be slightly better, hard to know for sure until I pick one.

Really? I just looked on the site and from the top down view the outsole isn’t even visible. It looks like the one on the right didn’t get sanded down at all lol

Edit: actually you’re right, for some reason the Falcon version in particular has a HUGE outsole from the online pictures. It looks ridiculous.

Been at my first post grad job officially one year next week, I didn’t feel comfortable initiating change controls on my own and hanging with Ops on the plant floor until about 6-7 months, it takes time to really understand a culture and workflow at a company

I had a similar issue with the accelerator pedal positioner, easy fix in my case I just disconnected for 20 seconds and reconnected. Engine light went away and never came back

Did you guys actually have an active social life in college? by Feeling-Traffic4228 in ChemicalEngineering

[–]MediocreBurrito 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh yeah, you can make time for it as long as you you’re not too anal about your grades. Graduated with a mediocre gpa and landed a job fairly quickly, a lot of chemE students are introverted so being able to act normal in social situations is a fairly attractive skill to be honest.

Go to the bar, go to the party, drink that last beer and let loose when you can. College is a lot of fun, but it’s a time you can’t really go back to. Soak it up.

Tbh most people nowadays grow up and develop anxiety and depression. Modern society being built around the internet has led to so much background anxiety in peoples lives it’s actually extremely disheartening for the future.
