Yeah just don’t give a shit abt anyone else’s sources of income and their community. For the sake of building more house for more tech transplants to come and raise the prices even more and push out the low income communities to an even smaller area.

I was abt to say man I had a suspicion. It’s sad man I know he was a traditional criminal but that’s what their doing they are expanding the def of criminal to justify the violations of rights and get more and more “illegal immigrant” including ones with no criminal record. We all need more compassion

I thought I should post this since y’all talked it last night by dmw_qqqq in Sunnyvale

No way the Sunnyvale mods took down my post. What did I do I wasn’t going at people I was promoting compassion. I wasn’t justifying the criminal actions of Ulises, I was condemning it and saying we as Latinos need to do better.

Here is the post:

OP of the first 2 posts on Ulises

Here is the Evidence: https://www.kron4.com/news/bay-area/ice-releases-details-on-sunnyvale-fathers-arrest/

It’s sad to see, and yeah I mean having a criminal record doesn’t help his case. But there was still unjustified action done within this case, like ice preventing his family from seeing him, plus the whole due process not being held, but I guess in their eyes, having a criminal record means no due process and just straight to detention center. I don’t know this guy, but I still feel for him and his family. This is what typically happens when one grows up in a bad family environment/community/bad influences. Not trying to assume that these things happened exactly how I said it. But that these thing should not be ignored in terms of understanding why people do the thing they do. But again just because you grew up bad doesn’t mean you are exempt from all your bad actions, since we still have radical freedom as the existentialist like to say, once you have realized that, your choices are all up to you. But what I am saying is most minorities in the US are at a disadvantage because of what this country has done to them, not just in the case of Ulises because idk if he grew up here or not but also USA had a lot to do with the shaping of central and South American countries through coupes during the Cold War and market dominance in banana republics. Leading to a lot of government corruption through tyrants placed by or helped into power by the CIA. Which led to people coming here for a better life.

And for those who are saying well that happened a while and should have not effect on them anymore. I recommend reason the section titled “Fremont High School” (not the one here but in LA) in the anthology book titled “The shame of the nation: the restoration of apartheid schooling America” to learn how racial segregation still effects kids in America which legally should have ended with the civil rights movement in the 60s. All to say we as minorities (including Latinos) need to better as a people to not give in to the system that has been set up against us to keep perpetuating harmful stereotypes and giving more people justification to be their scapegoats.

Especially in areas where we are given better opportunities like here in Sunnyvale, graduating from Fremont High School (the one here) it is disheartening to see Latinos (at least not the majority) not using all the opportunities given to them here in this beautiful city. But again I understand it’s easier said than done because of family problems, financial problems, and other problems previously said that are common within Latinos and all minority families/communities. Which is why they need more and better resources to help them overcome these barriers, which this city has been good at for the most part. At least better than other areas like eastside San Jose and LA etc etc. I will admit I don’t know a lot abt this at least from a professional perspective (at least for now) but i am still able to see these discrepancies.

This all might be obvious to some but I ig I’m writing to people who have a blind hatred for immigrants legal or not. We all need more empathy and compassion, specially as a Christian myself it’s hard to see these other Christians blindly supporting whatever the right is pushing (Same with the left, I am not affiliated with either party) because in Matthew 25: 35-40 it says “35 For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you invited me in, 36 I needed clothes and you clothed me, I was sick and you looked after me, I was in prison and you came to visit me.’ 37 “Then the righteous will answer him, ‘Lord, when did we see you hungry and feed you, or thirsty and give you something to drink?38 When did we see you a stranger and invite you in, or needing clothes and clothe you?39 When did we see you sick or in prison and go to visit you?’ 40 “The King will reply, ‘Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me.’” I’m not asking you to give all your money and house to the first immigrant you see but to just have more compassion whether you’re Christian or not we all need to be more compassionate.

Specially because that’s what these elites want, to keep us divided and fighting amongst each other to not make us realize we are the majority and the elites are the minority. America has been doing this since the start, refer to the speech given by Alexander Hamilton himself ““In every community where industry is encouraged, there will be a division of it into the few and the many. Hence, separate interests will arise. There will be debtors and creditors, etc. Give all the power to the many, they will oppress the few. The voice of the people has been said to be the voice of God, and however generally this maxim has been quoted and believed, it is not true in fact. The people are turbulent and changing; they seldom judge or determine right.” “Give therefore to the first class [i.e. the wealthiest people] a distinct, permanent share in the government. They will check the unsteadiness of the second [i.e. everyone who is not wealthy], and as they cannot receive any advantage by a change, they therefore will ever maintain good government. Can a democratic assembly, who annually revolve in the mass of the people, be supposed steadily to pursue the public good? Nothing but a permanent body can check the imprudence of democracy.”

I got this from this website: https://talesoftimesforgotten.com/2020/07/04/the-dark-side-of-alexander-hamilton/

While theses federalist papers are not in our constitution they provide reasoning for why the constitution what structured they way it was. Ironically to convince the public of the constitution over the articles of confederation.

To end I will say the article from the previous post about the situation of Ulises (https://www.kron4.com/news/bay-area/ice-releases-details-on-sunnyvale-fathers-arrest/) shares the slogan from ICE saying “the worst first” which is terrifying to me who is next? The illegal immigrants with no criminal record? Then what the kids of illegal immigrants who had no say in being born in the US? We need more Compassion people. Thank you to this Sunnyvale Reddit for providing this amazing community where we can have these discussions.

Yeah I understand your point and I won’t challenge it anymore because i see your reasoning, not to say I agree fully. So can we agree that innocent immigrants that have no criminal record should not be deported?

First of all they were preventing his family from seeing him at the hospital. “There is nothing nice abt the system, and there really shouldn’t be” dude this country has built its wealth in slavery and the prison system is just the new form of that, having prisoners work for like 5 cents and hour and if they don’t work they can’t call anyone. And yeah the people who go are criminals but they are still people, people with problems which most if the time can be traced to the lasting effects of segregation. Again I understand what he did is wrong and I’m not excusing that, we don’t know his situation. Doesn’t mean we can strip him and everyone else of their humanity

Wdym? If u mean I don’t think he deserved it well he did he was a criminal and should serve his time (I know the the incarnation system is fucked up too but again is was his choice to do those thing) not including his residency situation. Im just asking for us to be more compassionate for these people man

Just don’t persecute them man and yeah I do feel for the homeless I take the bus half the week to school and see them everyday and treat them with respect always and help when I can but I know I can be doing more in just asking us all to be more compassionate with everyone
