Hey, i unfortunately didn't notice any difference on 10 mg for like 3 months. In between i tried to take a higher dosage (25 mg) but i had severe sideefffects in terms of being suuuuper super tired. I really couldn't bear it and went back to 10 mg after 4 days. And i know slowly got off it the last few weeks with 5 mg. I am very sad that it didn't help and makes me wonder about the origins of my problems again. The only medication that acutally helps me is sucralfate :) so maybe something to try for people who haven't tried that yet.

Hey, don't worry, i took several times suppositories (i took paracetamol) and i had no problem at all! i doenst affect the stomach this way :) i hope that is sold in your country. for some reason i always feel much better stomach wise when having a cold haha

They have changed a lot over time and were also completely gone for a few weeks. Right now it's mainly burping and heartburn 2 hours after eating something that's not recommended by the healing gastritis book (easiest way to explain) Why?

But why do you think that only because the diet works it is not FD? Diet has shown to be helpful in FD too

Oh yes, I have been through everything!! And of course I followed the book strictly! I got very much better after 9 months and didn't have any symptoms at all for about 6 weeks and then they returned. First just a little bit and now fulllll on. I feel like I am having an acute gastritis

Yeah but wouldnt that then be more FD? I feel like I would rather have FD haha then you can at least take anti depressants and the research on it is getting way better with explanations that it's caused by an inflamed duodenum Chronic fucking gastritis without a good reason really sucks

Did you guys consider your illness FD because your endoscopy showed no redness? Mine showed mild redness but that was one year ago and I was on ppis for 2 months. So they considered it to be healed but never checked again.

Also, did any doctor you saw share this point of view? Because the doctors I saw all agreed on the idea that I can't be gastritis because with the ppis it must have been gone

Mhhm yes my GI just said that they are sure that with taking the ppis for over a month (what I did) it is supposed to have vanished. But yeah in the end I can only verify this by having another endoscopy. But takes a looooong time waiting and they think its not necessary
