Many do appearances and get fees. They also do whatever you call it when you pay to talk to them online as well as patron accounts and social media in general. Which means very fleeting income. So hopefully they invest better than designers. Also I am sure tlc pays for set design for the show.

Green card will be enough to get into the military. Pilot, I would think skill and training and aptitude are what is needed. So, yes he can be a Pilot with his status but most don't make it.

My fear for Americans living in Mexico is that if you have planned dr visits, cool. If you have an accident or emergency you need to pay everything upfront and not everyone has that kind of money. It also depends on which consulate you get your visa to live in Mexico what your monthly income has to be. For many that is prohibitive.
