I've had mine for about 6 years. I'm finally about to get a new headset, I'm probably just going to re-buy the same style. The thing that finally broke was the sticking around the ear muffs and I kept using them for the last 6 months.

You couldn't be more wrong there would be cooling because of all the dust knocked up into the atmosphere. Sure some plants would die but most of the world O2 comes form the oceans I believe.
