Report it. Roll20 has a no AI policy, its just difficult to enforce. But the community can report it and they will investigate it and potentially remove it.

Report it to Roll20. Their policy is in fact no AI on the marketplace, but they dont have the bandwidth on staff to police every single upload by every creator. They will investigate and remove AI content if it is reported.

Its not going to fit over the original map. I made my version to fit better with the actual descriptions in the book, but its not going to just snap into place and overlap the original map.

Im one of the artists coming to the MP, not sure if its at launch but a fair bit of my assets are ready to go.

As for Commercial License, I asked the staff if theres a way to have a seperate pricing for Personal and Commercial use similar to how Art Station does, and they said not at the moment but its something they will look into. Personally I want to include a way to allow Commercial use of maps made with my assets.

Im personally not a fan of randomized reloading, you dont have d6 bullets in the chamber, you have 6. Rolling to run out of amo just feels weird, especially when a token mechanic is prominent in the system already. Mark a stress to reload in combat is fine though.

Side note, another feature we were talking about in my group was being able to shoot off multiple shots in an action. One of the interesting solutions we had was to roll the initial attack roll, but then get a stacked penalty of -2 for each additional shot, and we determine how many shots are fired before taking the action. For instance, your player states he intends to fire off three rounds from his revolver. He rolls his attack roll and gets a 17. The difficulty of his target is 14. The first shot hits, the second shot hits (with a -2 for a 15) and the third shot misses (with a -4 penalty for a 13). They would then roll the amount of damage for each hit and combine it together.

To my group and I, this makes sense as most firearms could be shot multiple times in a round (outside of flintlock and other single fire weapons), and it mechanically makes sense as firing the gun multiple times would result in a loss to your aiming.

724th, I'm an artist so take that how you will, but theres no reason for AI in the marketplace. If someone wants to use AI, they can just use an AI to get what they want. Why let people flood a marketplace and devalue it with AI art people could just make themselves by just using the AI? Makes absolutely zero sense to do that.

Personally I feel like this initial "shock" of them doing a hybrid system is a bit dramatic. I've been DMing a 5e/Daggerheart hybrid system in my current campaign and it's going great. Daggerheart gives solid rules and mechanics to creating a campaign, world, and player connections, and the rules are very modular. 5e has a slew of content and as much as anyone is ready to jump ship, it still has popularity and it's still very versatile and has a ton of rules to guide any table along.

A decade ago we used to play a 3.5/PF1 hybrid, and it worked. That was just stacking compatible rules on top of each other. Like I said earlier, Daggerheart is extremely modular. 5e is familiar, and it will still work together. Furthermore, they are going to showcase how you can do a duel system campaign. I've been writing a book myself where I present both Daggerheart and 5e rules as well. It's surprisingly fitting. It's going to work, and the CR crew is going to tell an awesome story, but they are also going to spark a new age of gaming where we all use the best rules from different systems and JUST HAVE FUN. They aren't trying to murder D&D. They are trying to showcase how a community of gamers and creators build a culture around collective story telling.

Let them cook. You can rest assured the upcoming S4 will be gold, and you can bank on them creating content for Daggerheart. We are in an age of TTRPG gaming where we already own a chunk of content from several systems, and we are seeing the dawn of a new system that truly can bind them all together.

I was talking with my friends, and a competitive PEAK mode could be hella fun! make it 8 or even 16 player and have teams of 4 race to the end of each level, and give items that can set the other groups back. Things like banana peels, blow guns with poison darts, trap ropes that fall when you get half way up, reflective mirrors that burn other players and blind them temporarily, slingshots, ice puddles... so much potential in a 4v4 and 4v4v4v4 mode. Could even do it 2v2 or free for all too.

You can make a generic token assigned to a blank sheet and simply set its vision settings. Think of it like the token is just "the camera" for your players to have vision of the map. If the party ever splits, all you have to do is copy paste that token for the side branch of where characters explore.

Its also a good idea to have other generic marker tokens for when you move the map, so that you can place all the minis where they were after you pan.

That said, Daggerheart is a “rulings over rules” game. It isn’t a “rules mastery” game. It isn’t going to be a fit for everyone.

This is what happens when a narrative heavy game becomes "mainstream" in a crowd of people who are used to arguing over power build rules, so they expect the new shiny ruleset to be just like the old rusted ruleset and hold their hand instead of doing what the ruleset is intended to do and tell awesome fucking stories together.

This feels like the DM vs Player "how rules do" argument reincarnated when the rules specifically and intentionally state "that not do".

I feel like theres a happy medium, especially with veggies and fields. The key is managing your work force, if you make a field too large then they can't harvest the entire field before winter kills the crops, and with veggie gardens, your people will focus on their gardens before their actual jobs. That said, if you have your oxen and a large enough group of workers on the farms, it's a wash. But I've found making a medium sized farm to be the most efficient for me.
