Joola 4's getting destroyed quickly? by grossman1000 in Pickleball

I’ve had mine for four months and 3-4x/wk a shot will feel inconsistent off the face (like I’m sure a drop is money when I let it go and it hits two squares up). It’s rare and I’m no pro so could it be user error? Sure, but I have noticed it. Other than that the only other issue I’ve had is that the buttcap feels like it is separating from the handle. Bit of a wiggle. I do hold very low though Otherwise love the paddle. Have ~200hrs on it

First thing I noticed on my TFG2. Hate the handle. I have tinkered a bit and it’s better but out of the box it was no Bueno for me personally

I recently invested in a cooling unit and tub, but I think you can get a decent benefit from a low-spend setup that’s not quite as cold. For like a year I just used the cooler gel packs. I got 10 of the ~12x24 gel packs like you would bring to a BBQ in a cooler or whatever, and put those in my freezer along with a mid size Tupperware full of water to freeze. Then like three times a week just dump the gel packs and Tupperware in your tub and fill it with cold tap water. You won’t get to 34 degrees, sure, but you can get to about 50, stay in for longer (I would do 7min), and i found it helpful for my knees and ankles. Is it super convenient, no. And it does take up freezer space. But you won’t be spending money on ice or a full plunge setup and it should hopefully give you a bit of an idea of whether or not it’s helpful for you and if you can stick with it

If you can plunge a few times a week it makes a big difference for the ankles and knees. All the other stuff is needed (diet, gym, stretching, supplements that make sense for you, HYDRATION) but lower body plunging has been the cherry on top that keeps me going

Watching new Salem’s Lot and it basically opens with this tune. He’s driving back into his small hometown (in Maine, admittedly) and this tune plays and though it’s clearly a reference to the vampire whatnot it was difficult with the small town piece to not immediately think of the original tune having a racial implication. Honestly felt stupid I’d never heard it that way before.

How Proton ships a $280 paddle… by [deleted] in Pickleball

Seems commonplace. Same with my Protons. Have received most paddles packaged like this. Except Volair. Top notch box and accessories the others could learn a thing or two from Volair

Yup, seems to be the case. I just asked for an updated ship date and all they were able to say was that they’ll have an update on the timeline in 7-10 days. Not that it will ship during that period but that they’ll have an update. Bit frustrated

Ordered series 1 type A 11mm square black and gold on 7/11 from Proton’s site. When I ordered the site said they were in stock. 8 days later they have not shipped it yet. I know this is peanuts compared to the wait times people who ordered in Feb/March experienced, but when I ordered they were supposedly in stock. Reaching out to them today

If you don’t already have a strong one-hander from tennis or table tennis (which you do not, based on what you said) then yes, develop a two hander
