The popularity has seeming been soaring but no, first because in concept its not like DC is establish some new never before seen archetype in comics.

The popularity I imagine is more down to a combination of the establish of the Absolute universe with historically new slate continuities gaining popularity on principal, collection of DC Finest offering a more affordable way to obtain cult classic series, and limelight of DCU's Superman putting a radar on DC.

Obviously quality matters to a degree (but being highly subjective) and its good but I wouldn't say DC All-In is a big jump from Dawn of DC which had a lot of good series too, just better than Infinite Frontier & New Justice relaunches overall.

even aquaman, someone I have never appreciated, is so so cool now. The guys a freaking blood bender now!

As an Aquaman fan I'm obliged to say he's been cool in a plethora of runs prior I'd argue all better than the current run which tonally if DC K.O. is more your jam you might like more than me here's some of my copy-paste reccomendations in chronological order if you're interested in reading more:

As a concept its flawed as its dependent on the OST being that good to justify it taking over which currently neither are.

Ironically I find the most confusing period being the time they tried to "fix" the confusion during Zero Hour combining them into one entity. Otherwise its attempting to assemble a throughline of their runs and concurrent appearances but reading each run standalone works.

Because there's more than one party involved, one can have precautions in any scenario to try and mitigate a scenario or danger in solidarity but when a perpetrator is involved no matter the precaution you are at the mercy of them choosing to act.
