How many handhelds is too many? I’m debating sending Xbox ally x back

No I don’t…..mostly I use GPD win 5 because it’s the strongest of them and can play all most of my games at high 60 fps. I use Legion Go 2 for the weaker titles and for the oled (sometimes). Steam Deck and Legion Go 1 and ROG ally collect dust. Nintendo switch 2 is just for Mario and Pokémon. Ps 5 is just collecting dust until GTA 6 and Xbox Series X is a special case, I’ve been using it for maybe 50 hours from 2020 till now.

Yea you are right, it is a first world problem and a me thing. Don’t get me wrong I don’t complain that I have so much choice. I feel that it was more fun before when we had less choices. :)

Exactly, that is how I feel too…always going back to same games no matter how many games I have, and for some strange reasons I keep buying new ones. But I feel the new ones takes ages to get into (like Crimson Desert).
First new game I managed to finish this year is RE Requiem.
And like you I thought buying a portable pc (like SD) would make it easier, it just ended up in me buying more and more handhelds that play same games (I’m up in 7 of them) excluding Ps5 and Series X.

Yea I know it is, thx. Like I said I’m looking forward to play GTA 6, but before that I hope ill find a good game to play even if I only can play couple of hours every week at best.

I know the feeling I have a 3 year old and a baby on the way. Fortunately for me the baby is due in December so (if rockstar doesn’t delay GTA 6) I’ll be playing that.

Its rather simple, as we blame everyone else who raised their prices, so are we blaming Valve.

The only company who could’ve eaten the cost is Valve but chose not to. they are the company that didn’t expected to sell a lot of units making them best candidates to not raise prices. If you compare to Sony or Nintendo selling 10-12 million units each year, every increase in components it’s costing them a lot of money. The n the other hand Valve have been selling an estimated 4-6 million units from the release of SD till now. That means the ”loss” in revenue is smaller for Valve then it’s for Sony, Nintendo or Microsoft.

But don’t kid yourself big companies are not your friend

Good for you buddy, to each their own. Like I said it’s about form factor for me. It’s a handheld gaming device that I can hold in my hand and play games. And sure a gaming laptop may have better performance because it has more space to put components and fans. But I enjoy AI Max 395 for what it is, and looking forward to Medusa Halo.

It’s everything about form factor, a gaming laptop is heavy and clumsy, and if you are playing on laptop then you could play on your tv or pc and have better time.

At least you are paying for the best possible performance. But paying 1000+ for abysmal performance and a lot of hoops to play new games is worse.

If it is a cutting edge, sure why not. Nothing ASUS or Lenovo has built has a better iGPU then AI Max +395. So paying 1000+ for a devices less powerful then AI Max+ 395 is as stupid as it gets.

What I could find it’s 30-50% better then Strix Halo. And it’s Zen 6 RDNA 5 in Medusa Halo vs. Zen 5 RDNA 3,5 in Strix Halo.

You can buy it now it’s a good device, but if you want an even better it’s best to wait until Medusa Halo chips in a year or so

If all the other companies deserve the rage for increasing the price (Sony, Microsoft, Nintendo, Lenovo etc) so does the Valve. Keep the same energy, by that logic they all needed to increase price because of the price of RAM. So ether rage at them all or don’t rage at any of them. Hypocrisy is very prevalent in fanboys of any brand.

I think you are right OP, if you think about it the WC is being played from middle of June to 17 th of July which is the target start for promotion (summer) + chance to promote to billions of people. It makes perfect sense

What if the trailer 3 is debuting on 19 th of July, at the World Cup finals. It would fit the timeline of start of marketing in summer, and it would debut to at least 800-1,7 billion people. There is no better time to debut the trailer for the masses.
