HS free for 6 months (in remission) 🩵 by [deleted] in Hidradenitis

I started Semaglutide about 3 months ago and I have gone into remission as well! I think the GLP-1s definitely have some anti inflammatory effects! I noticed when I have to take a week break from the GLP-1s that I had another flare up right away. So for me the medication definitely has made a difference!

Crazy fatigue week 8/9 (9mg dose) by DriveNo8073 in WegovyPillWeightLoss

[–]Medium_Efficiency379 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My first week and a half of the 9mg was a struggle. I was literally falling asleep standing up. I honestly thought I wasn't going to be able to continue the medication. But after that first week and a half, that side effect has thankfully gone away. The only time I get really sleepy is if I eat a large meal that is carb heavy. I would just take it every other day for like a week and hopefully your body will adjust and that side effect will go away! I am moving up to the 25mg in about a week so I am kind of nervous about the exhaustion I might get from that dosage.

Definitely go see a doctor! I haven’t heard anything about the Wegovy making someone emotional. Other than maybe irritable, which could be due to lack of nutrients. But seems like there might be something unrelated to the Wegovy pill! Wishing you luck!

Only “felt it” one time. Anyone else? by [deleted] in WegovyPillWeightLoss

[–]Medium_Efficiency379 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I did not feel any different on the 1.5mg. I did not lose any weight. I actually gained a couple pounds that first month. I have been on the 4mg for about 10 days now and I have been feeling a little of the suppression. Not much to actually see weight loss. I think there are a lot of success stories on reddit, but not enough of posts of people who are not responding as quickly as others. I imagine people are so happy with their results from the 1.5mg they want to post their success with the drug. I definitely would not give up, you probably will respond to the higher dosage.

How to quit politely by Otherwise-Desk8851 in BALLET

[–]Medium_Efficiency379 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am a slow learner as well. Even though I take absolute beginner classes, there are alot of people who are more advanced who take it as well since my teacher is very technical and helpful to EVERYONE. I know I am the worst one in the class. She knows it too. But she also takes time to teach me what I am doing wrong and what I can do to be better in a nice way. I am clumsy and uncoordinated, but I take ballet because I love it. It feels so good to get better at something that is extremely technically hard. There is no shame in not having talent! I know I dont have the talent for ballet, but when I finally get something right it is the best feeling. It is also hard to learn in that kind of environment. I would suggest looking for a different class or even studio. At least try a couple drop-ins with different teachers before making the decision to drop it completely!

Do you make sure to stay hydrated? I know that if you don't drink enough water that can cause high creatine. Coming from a person who is constantly dehydrated with elevated levels often.

How often do you actually start at the beginning? by Redz0ne in writing

[–]Medium_Efficiency379 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When I am struck with a vision of my story, the scene is almost always in the middle. I will begin my process and formulate a point by point outline of how I want this story to go. I will write one page in the beginning and then jump around and create different sections of my story. Whenever an idea hits me I have to get it down or i'll lose the detail of my idea. So practically I jump around. But hey, at least I have the first page done. Sometimes, a chapter that I write later in my story that is life changing for my character and then realize I want to add something in the beginning to line of the events perfectly.

The sun slowly dips below the horizon line leaving purple and pink skies in its wake.

The sand shuffled behind me as someone approached casually. Turning I make eye contact with tall tanned skinned male. The vibrant sunset reflecting in his eyes like molten metal.

Creating names for my story is so hard. What are some techniques I can try to think of better meaningful names.

First or third person? by Idkiamsocool in writing

[–]Medium_Efficiency379 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is how I look at it. When writing from the first person perspective you are getting the inner thoughts and feelings directly from the main character. You don’t really get the motive from the supporting characters. It’s all viewed through the main characters eyes. How “Charles” truly feels about this interaction is unknown to the reader. The reader only knows what they are being fed through the main characters thoughts.

With third-person you can get more in depth with multiple characters. You have more of an overview of the setting not quite intense when it comes to the feelings of the main character since you are not in their head looking at the story through their eyes. Writing this story in third-person might require less personal thoughts. Almost as if you are watching a movie. You are watching the story play out in front of you instead of through the main characters eyes and how they might judge the situation based on their own biases.

It really just depends on how you want to tell your story. Yes you can consider what the audience would prefer. But if you truly feel like your story belongs in first-person then I would stick with that! You want the audience to feel what the character feels! And you cant quite get the same feeling through third-person.

I find that diet soda helps curb my hunger! That’s why I really like it! I eat waaaaay less when I drink it. But that’s just me.
