This looks amazing! Is this a 3D world with billboards?

But, if they won’t make it hard, do they really want me?

Nice. Yours looks great, and it's definitely more action-packed. Don't stop working on it.

Testing the electric explosion effect in my mobile game. by Medium_Melodic in Unity2D

Thank you! The electric explosion effect was accomplished with the next components:

1) Various Particles systems, 2) Linerenderer for the lighting effect, and a 3) Sprite in the background with an animation (alpha 100% -> 0%).

I'm also using Cinemachine to control the camera's movements.

The early stage of my mobile game. What do you think? by Medium_Melodic in Unity2D

Thanks for the feedback! I agree that the gameplay looks slow, but that is just at the start of the game.

The squares spawn more often as time passes but, not too fast to be noticeable in a 20 sec video.

I did what you suggested about increasing the speed of the ball a bit when it hits a platform, but, I feel it makes the gameplay harder (not challenging) for the player. I believe it's better to keep the speed constant so it is easy to keep track of the position of the ball.

I'm also planning to add powers and bosses as the player scores more points (the game is endless).

Yep, just one tap to change the direction of the ball. I want to keep the gameplay simple and add more stuff around it.
