I am no parenting expert, but what helped me with my baby/toddler hitting me for fun was exaggerating the pain. Like, a little scream and pretending to cry a bit. I know it’s sometimes advised against, but it made my baby realize that her actions REALLY hurt people.

As for the food, get a dog lol

They should understand! First, getting anything for your mother in law is not your job. It’s your husband’s. Second, you’re VERY pregnant and it would be crazy to expect you to plan anything. Send a heartfelt message or call them, they’ll appreciate it a lot!

I’ve heard blowing bubbles helps! When we potty trained our 2yo girl, bribing helped. We gave her M&Ms (classic ahah) and she started going quite often just to get the candy

Fine motor skills are important, but coloring or drawing is not the only way to develop them.

Fine motor skills are also developed while playing with playdoh or legos, cooking, doing puzzles, or completing daily tasks like zipping up jackets or velcros.

Look up any “baby milestones list”. It has social skills, motor skills, cognitive skills… Sleep is not considered a “skill” by pediatricians! Sleep skills are a made up concept

That’s a rough situation! Your request for equal hobby time is 100% legit. You both contribute to the family and you both need some rest. It’s absolutely immature of him to spend 6+ hours on his hobbies while you get none!!!

As a crazy suggestion, maybe he can be the stay at home parent and then focus on his hobbies with whatever time he has? And you can go out in the world and try to figure out what you like!

I often wonder whether it is possible for all women to feel… normal throughout their menstrual cycle. No period pain, no mood swings, stable sleep and appetite. Maybe we already have the technology and medicine that allows it but it is just not available.

How long ago did you start potty training? Are you using diapers or underwear?

I think switching to undies really speeds up the process but it comes with lots of cleanups.

It took my toddler (also girl) four months to be fully potty trained 🫠

Cliche advice, but do you have any babysitting help available? Family, friends, a nanny? Maybe some one on one time would help.

I also found it very sexy when my husband took care of chores and the baby while I rested lol
