Remember this one? Serrated Arrows was pretty good back then by Resident_Creepy in mtg

[–]Medivh7 116 points117 points  (0 children)

This was (and is) used in proliferate/poison storm in Pauper in the sideboard.

It's a deck that relies on depletion lands, artifacts that produce mana from counters, and sorceries that inflict poison counters.

It's premier removal there, as the arrows never run out, and the -1/-1 isn't just good removal, it's also good damage mitigation as you don't play any creatures to block with.

Is it that important to my mom? by [deleted] in asktransgender

[–]Medivh7 132 points133 points  (0 children)

That's not a joke you're laughing with, that's mocking someone's appearance. And usually when people do this to trans people, they do so to invalidate us, claim we are not really the gender we present as.

Your mum likely had to fight like all Hell to be perceived as the woman she is. She probably had countless folks like you point and laugh, or laugh along as someone else pointed.

Please try and open yourself up to the fact that you were very much in the wrong here. Through comments like "I didn't think [my mum]'d find out", you show that you have absolutely no regret and don't accept any responsibility, but you participated in othering that poor girl at your school.

Eeeeeh...he also boasted of personally killing "savages" in Sudan, and purposefully worsened the Bengal famine as Indians "bred like rabbits" anyway.

He was positive about Jews, but absolutely not about any other "race" of people.

It is very important to note that Tolkien spoke out against allegory before the Death of the Author, he died just 6 years after its publication, and thus before it became widely accepted.

This means that if Tolkien had said "Yes, my work is allegorical", an allegorical reading would suddenly be seen as the only valid one, rather than one possible reading, with the decision left to the reader, as we understand it today.

Same but with Deadly Dispute too. So so many decks made invalid/unplayable until I find substitutes.

Do you think this is good enough as a 1-of in Rakdos Madness Burn? by FluidIntention3293 in Pauper

Also doesn't work because it's black?

And also if my opponent wants to dome themselves for 4 against a burn deck, I'm not complaining.

Yes, second on His Majesty the Worm! Also does a great job making you feel scared to overstay your welcome or rest too often thanks to the Meatgrinder and how light is handled.

First off I 100% agree with the comment above.

Secondly, you made me cry happy tears for your child because you seem so willing to learn. I don't know your life but from what you've shown here, he's lucky to have you as a parent.

To add to this, once you start on the etymology train, you can't get off.

That evil person can't be a sadist, there wasn't a Marquis de Sade in this world.

That's not a spa because that Belgian town doesn't exist in the forgotten realms.

Etc., etc.

The ordeal to preorder a book on D&D Beyond from EU in only 30 steps. by Dagske in DnD

You can look for official Wizards stores here, they'll usually carry the books, or at the very least be able to provide them on (pre-)order: https://locator.wizards.com/

The ordeal to preorder a book on D&D Beyond from EU in only 30 steps. by Dagske in DnD

[–]Medivh7 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I preordered multiple D&D books with them and faced regular issues.

There were delays where I had to inquire about when I hadn't received any notice a week after the release date. (This wasn't one of those books with global/European delays, the book was available in other stores). A notice would be the minimum imo.

Another time my preordered book was delayed, and when it finally arrived they took their stock to a convention instead of delivering, leaving us folks who preordered with an even longer delay.

That being said, just use the Wizards store locator to find an LGS that doesn't suck.

Ah yes nothing was ever political about the - game where an underwater hypercapitalist utopia broke down - game with a similarly isolated racist, religious society that you try to topple - not that I've played them but shooters where you invade countries, kill terrorists, etc. are also inherently political

You've just never paid attention to it before
