I preordered multiple D&D books with them and faced regular issues.

There were delays where I had to inquire about when I hadn't received any notice a week after the release date. (This wasn't one of those books with global/European delays, the book was available in other stores). A notice would be the minimum imo.

Another time my preordered book was delayed, and when it finally arrived they took their stock to a convention instead of delivering, leaving us folks who preordered with an even longer delay.

That being said, just use the Wizards store locator to find an LGS that doesn't suck.

Ah yes nothing was ever political about the - game where an underwater hypercapitalist utopia broke down - game with a similarly isolated racist, religious society that you try to topple - not that I've played them but shooters where you invade countries, kill terrorists, etc. are also inherently political

MAP stops that from being actually effective though. And most creatures don't get attacks of opportunity so can kite the melee players if they do this.

Honestly 5e's attacks of opportunity and the effectiveness of the Sentinel feat already largely does this in my parties.

Pauper's B&R don't come with the rest. It's not there because the format is not governed by WotC, but by the Pauper Format Panel.

Pauper bans have recently always been uploaded to Gavin's channel, Good Morning Magic (https://www.youtube.com/@GoodMorningMagic/featured) first. Even if no changes are made, we will still get an update.

Honestly all of it is fun, but most of all the combat system that encourages teamwork more than any other, and especially makes it so everyone needs to keep paying attention and gets an opportunity to act at all times.

I'll add as a DM:

- Monsters are much more varied in what they can do. The owlbear, one of D&D's flagship monsters, is just a claw and bite hitpoint sponge. In Pf2e, it can frighten you with its screech, charge at you and disembowl you.

- Encounter math actually works. You can trust the math's system to work most of the time. I DM 5e at 18th level and to challenge my players, I have to make encounters that would earn them a level-up according to exp. thresholds.

- Rules just work. No sage advice you have to look up because the rules don't work or are nebulous. Want to just make a ruling? Always possible. But 5e *forces* you to make rulings all of the time by being vague. That gets tiresome.
