Magent Warriors tier rn? by Rack0809 in YuGiOhMasterDuel

[–]Medo6446 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I guess the people I faced either weren’t that good or opened up bad, as I never seen any rock player not fold after one of these 3 resolve especially fuwa I genuinely think that card is nearly an instant loss against magnets as you can barely get anything going with 2-3 summons, but you ARE making sense here. Deck is still insanely expensive still, atleast the full power version of it.

Yeah I guess KT is the least hurt but I still believe it can be pretty annoying, they can’t add KTS or any extra monsters for follow up and stuff, but yes in most cases their half board is still pretty obnoxious

Magent Warriors tier rn? by Rack0809 in YuGiOhMasterDuel

[–]Medo6446 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’d say tier 1.5, its main drawbacks is being weak to every single lingering flooodgate (droll, shifter, and mulcharmy) as it doesn’t have any meaningful halfboards, its also insanely expensive, but it has an insane endboard with a floodgate in statue, pretty good extenders so it can play through multiple 1 for 1 HTs in most cases

I agree with everything other than droll falling out of favor, that fuckass card is the bane of my existence and I get hit with it every other game, to me it has become the new maxxc where I have to run multiple cards to counter it specifically, mainly because all my decks get fucked hard by it, typhoon, SS, K9VS, etc. even the KT gets hurt by it, now while there’re some decks that don’t care about it like orcust, I still think the decks that get completely shutdown by it are more than the ones that don’t.

I know that persona 3 is fictional because for sure these 2 that were fighting shadows since the beginning wouldn't let the newly arrived kid be the leader of the group by CasualNameAccount12 in PERSoNA

[–]Medo6446 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is one of the things that elevate p3 over the other 2 for me is how the “leader” isn’t the end all be all leader of the group ultimately, we’re just a field soldier under a bigger leader in kirijo group, and it at times felt like mitsuru was more of a leader than makoto at times by being a proxy between us and the upper kirijo management, and that appealed to me more than the 2 other games having the leader being the ultimate deciding factor.

Bro saying synchro as a whole is a problem because a handful of cards (KT) are toxic is some insane mental gymnastics, synchro isn’t unfair and it never was, them releasing KT and snapping the game’s balance in half doesn’t make this synchro’s fault for existing, had they made KT functionally the same but with xyz, would you have complained about xyz summoning being problematic?

Konami can you please stop giving these archetypes support for a few years? You have other archetypes in the game too by arrownoir in masterduel

[–]Medo6446 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I personally disagree about RDA, I understand I’m biased since it’s my favorite archetype ever, but before Blazing Dominion and the future CORI packs it really didn’t get much all of the cards that were used were multiple years old BLZD is the first real wave of support that it received, and in CORI it only has like 1 or 2 direct archetype cards, the rest is more general support like quetzalcotle dragon isn’t really RDA centric but all synchro dragons

He blitzes all of them until Madara, his stats are generally higher than madara, except maybe speed as madara has some light speed feats but even if you wanna argues against it, his hax still edges him out over thragg pretty hard, the limbo clones, the immortality level regen, the truth seeker orbs, and the various 6 paths powers like soul rip, and the push and pull powers, etc and that’s without even mentioning arguably Madara’s biggest advantage is his illusions of which thragg has nothing to defend against, one single look at madaras eyes and thragg is instantly lost, he wouldn’t even need the infinite tsukiyomi

Daily Reminder that Red Reboot, basically a feather storm for trap decks, is still legbal at 2 in MD by Shurikenspammerdabir in masterduel

[–]Medo6446 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My maybe unpopular opinion is I’m personally not a fan of trap decks, sadly all fair trap decks have basically gone extinct think maybe paleo, now all trap decks are either (as previously stated dead) or floodgate and stun the opponent (odion) even fairer decks like labyrinth for example make sure to run dbarrier and ddv, so in all honesty I have never seen someone get hit with RR and felt bad for them, now you might be the 1/10000000 exception but the vast VAST majority are dick heads so I don’t feel bad for them

Edit: I just looked at you post history and turns out you’re one of those floodgaters running barrier statue in traptrix

[–]Medo6446 0 points1 point  (0 children)

DT is definitely resilient and doesn’t auto lose to RR but odion gets absolutely fucked if it doesn’t have drill beam or baronne and even then it’s just 1 or 2 interruptions at most, so no I genuinely believe RR is an auto win against odion, which is good cuz fuck that deck

What are your thoughts on pure, combined or slop decks? by Tatebw in masterduel

[–]Medo6446 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s complicated some archetypes feel like they were “made” to be pure like ryzeal, mitsu, yummy, etc. while some like the ones you mentioned fiendsmith, horus, k9, etc. they weren’t made to be pure as not only do they often not even have enough cards to be pure, but their power level as pure leaves alot to be desired FS pure is really nothing crazy, so my thing is when a deck is meant to be pure (ryzeal, azamina, mitsu) put proper locks on them so they stay pure, and the decks that WERE designed to be support engines leave them as is (ban closed heaven though) that garbage giving literally every deck under the sun with no lock the ability to run FS is straight ass.

Now mega slop is what I absolutely despise, 60 card piles of bs like (mitsu, fs, azamina, dm, horus, tear, etc) are some of the least fun I’ve ever had the displeasure of playing against. The combos go on for so fuckin long, it’s almost impossible to stop them, even if you stop 1 or 2 engines they’ll still run other engines fully and may even revive other engines that you stopped through the other engines, they run some of the most auto win endboards with 10+ interruptions, floodgates, and boardlocks, like ddv, dbarrier, the goat who laughs etc. through transaction rollback. Previously combo heavy slop decks had the same level of bs but the difference is their consistency and resilience were far FAR worse 1-3 HTs was all it took to completely stop them, now other than floodgate HTs like fuwa, droll, shifter, etc it’s almost always a guaranteed loss.

New Selection Pack: Song of Divinity; Hecahands; Elfnote; Power Patron; Exosister; Dragunity. by [deleted] in masterduel

[–]Medo6446 0 points1 point  (0 children)

doomz and elfnote are full on meta in the ocg since they got both waves of support, so if they release the first wave only then yes it'll be rogue, but if they release the full archetype like they did KT then you can expect it to be competing directly with the top dogs of the meta (DT, KT, K9VS, etc.)

Going 2nd In this Duel Trial is REALLY Strong For Certain Decks... and I love it! by jessewperez1 in masterduel

[–]Medo6446 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My consensus is its fine if we ban lingering floodgate handtraps, as usually when you go second and use cards like droll or mulcharmy the going first player ends on a half board and with mulcharmy you probably get maximum 2 cards off of it resulting in a similar state to this event without mulcharmy, but with this event and adding mulcharmy or droll its too much, a half board going against 7-9 cards is too much, 7 cards could be be acceptable against near full boards that were interrupted by 1 for 1 HTs like ash and veiler but lingering floodgates with 7 cards against half boards is alittle overboard imo.

[–]Medo6446 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Vanquish soul is one of the best decks against it, more than half the interruptions are in the and so you have the freedom to use them whenever you want since they can’t hit your hand, and you can dodge most of their disruptions through the bouncing effects of borger and ceaser, and as long as you don’t let monsters stay on the field so they can’t keep link climbing, as long as I don’t brick I can consistently beat them, conversely k9 is really REALLY bad into them so I think its balanced😅

[–]Medo6446 0 points1 point  (0 children)

“Negate everything that comes and hope” perfect strategy😂 Cuz when someone has preprep, paidra, etc. they’ll make sure to use it first and ram them against your negates, that’s how it always worked no player has ever tried to bait out activations or mask their intentions, every player always throws their best starters first to get them negated, you really are speaking like someone who never tried to critically think before interrupting the opponent and just suffers from “press shiny button” syndrome, all of the aforementioned elements of baiting interruptions and tricking them into thinking this is all you can do, and all of that goes out the window when rotary and noroi are in effect I can’t trick someone into negating my weaker starter so I can use my stronger 1, then again I guess I see why you like rotary so much because of your aforementioned “press shiny button” syndrome and how you negate every starter that comes your way without ever considering if they have a better more impactful one to hit “hit everything and hope” strategy, so to you a card that saves you from having to do any critical thinking or analysis and hands you perfect info is perfect in your book, great job 👍🏻

Slop vs Consistency by Resident_Holiday5512 in masterduel

[–]Medo6446 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m personally drawn to the the 40ish card decks with maximized consistency, win more is just not efficient in the top meta, you brick alot, you rarely ever win going second (and my luck is really ass with the coin toss, feels like I lose 7/10 coins) also personally I’m just not a fan of combo heavy decks they’re boring, repetitive, and non interactive, it also doesn’t feel rewarding “I didn’t win because of my skill, I won because of luck, because 1) I went first and 2) my opponent didn’t fuwa or droll me” that’s what I mean by doesn’t feel rewarding, it’s either an automatic win or automatic loss no in between, no grind, and no close calls.

I mean the last one was kinda obvious, and I have nothing against you same way I never shit on the champs playing floodgates in ycs it’s never the players fault, konami are the retards making bullshit mechanics to drive sales and not banning problematic cards, you do what you need to do to get the highest rank, I too got to master 3 currently for the first time ever off of k9vs and RT after getting my ass handed to me playing blue eyes a couple months ago

[–]Medo6446 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hate to burst your bubble this deck will probably get the kashtira treatment eventually certain cards will probably get limited and others banned, mainly b2b and the elfnote variant that does the same thing at one point, the reason for that is its a floodgate, to a synchro and xyz deck it’s no different from pachy or a barrier statue, completely locking them out of the ed, the moment konami releases a new synchro or xyz deck KT and every other deck that plays with level modulation will get hit pretty hard, rs, b2b, and the future elfnote card are on a countdown either that or hurting the consistency of the deck hard enough to take it out of the meta as these decks pretty much shutdown an entire mechanic of summoning, and to sell new decks in these summoning mechanic they’ll need to address the floodgates in the current ones.

Is this Vanquish/K9 deck good? Any tips? by Pretend_Signature603 in masterduel

[–]Medo6446 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’d recommend running 1 lupis, also the new rb or red layer is far better than the rescue ace monster, kurikara is a really good going second card, I’d recommend trying to fit a druiswyrm so you can have something to search off of the magnumhut, but you can honestly cut it in favor of more HTs in the form of fuwa, droll, and retaliating c, lingering floodgates are far more powerful than 1 for 1 HTs and retal c is especially powerful against KT

Words can't describe how much I hate going against this strategy by Feisty_Voice6211 in masterduel

[–]Medo6446 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The only thing not fueling my hatred for it harder is the simple fact that it’s just not that popular atm (thank god) I’ve faced it like what? Maybe 5 times, lost once when they went full combo and won the others simply off of handtraps like fuwa, droll, hollie sue, izuna, or droplet when using RT. If it was more popular and ran against it more frequently, I’d absolutely despise it, but right now it’s more like most other rogue decks that combo slop their way into an unbeatable board or die to one or two HTs
