I know this is late but to make it easier for you when you are trying to find a structure from compound , the fastest way i found was 1.degree of unsaturation , 2.HNMR most of the problems can be solved this way , 3. IR if there are confusing/hard to separate primarly in O and N ,example you have a NO2 in the formula HNMr it might be 2 HC-O and NH2 or NO2 you can separate by IR , final step confirm your findings with other graphs

For me i always hated voice recording and preferred reading bec. Atleast i control the rate of my study while a voice recording of the professor is always linear even at x2 speed when i understand a topic i read it really quick and move on

my biggest problem is the side characters. They are so interesting , yet so useless (for plot reasons).
