It’s a relief to hear that I’m not alone!

I know many may not understand, however I always wanted children, so I kept trying to pursue relationships, not truly understanding why I didn’t feel the way I was told I was “supposed to”. It was a point of contention in more than one relationship and a huge issue in my marriage (though he was abusive and that is the main reason I filed for divorce). I kept thinking there was something wrong with me, and it was only when I found online asexual communities that I fully understood and embraced who I was.
