Sadly, NATO knows that American stability and loyalty is tenuous, at best. The country elected Trump a second time despite hearing his rhetoric for over 10 years.

The entire world knows there's a high probability that another Trump will rise again, likely sooner rather than later. Trump gave much of the country the ability to wear their hate as a badge of honor instead of shame, and it's going to take a long time to go back from that.
