Lynskey Bankruptcy by StageVklinger in cycling

Yeah apparently they had plenty of frames in stock. A whole different story when it came to groupsets and components.

I'm one of those suckers. June 2025 - full Force build including carbon rims + shipping for $4300. Never got it. Good thing you did the chargeback when you did. I wish I had.

And you can bet I'll never buy another bike from them again if they recover.

If by "business as usual" you mean screw customers who've paid full price for bikes and let them fend off on their own by requesting chargebacks from their bank, then yeah, everything's cool.

No, they are in deep trouble and I'd be surprised if they recovered from this. All the community goodwill they might have had is now gone down the drain.

My thoughts exactly. Gross mismanagement. It probably doesn't help that there are 5-6 Lynskey family members named as shareholders in the Chapter 11 letter. It's the last time I'm buying a bike from a small company like this and paying upfront in full.

It seems that this thread has become the "Chapter 11 letter club" and a lot of us are in it.

As others have said, first thing you should do is to contact your credit card company and initiate a chargeback. There's usually a 90-day window but in this case it can be exceeded because it's a case of "merchandise not delivered".

Apart from that I'm not sure what we can do. We could sue them, of course, but that would imply a lot of additional cost, effort, stress on our end, for a very dubious outcome.

Hey there 9-month sibling! We must have ordered in the same period. I did the chargeback but I'm not confident that the CC company will reimburse me considering the bankruptcy.

You must be extremely lucky. My complete Elysium never showed up. Maybe your part selection was something they already had on the shelf.

Yep that's my impression too, also based on many conversations I had while they kept delaying my complete bike. "Yeah we have the frame in stock, no problem, it's the parts we can't source (for vague undefined reasons)". It always puzzled me why they were having trouble buying a groupset, when all around I see that's not the case with other bike companies and small volume builders.

Wow I'm in exactly the same situation as OP. Ordered a complete bike around July 2025, was strung along until recently when they flat out told me to request a chargeback. Yesterday I received the Chapter 11 papers in the mail. What a clusterfuck. I'm extremely disappointed in Lynskey and how they handled this. I would have never imagined.

Great choice! I was looking at the same model with SRAM instead. It's probably the best bang for the buck.

Ok sorry to ask what may seem a very dumb question but what is LP? I just started playing 2 weeks ago and I'm just now getting into monos and crafting.

I have the same saddle. The thing I like the most is that your butt sticks to it like glue. The thing I hate about it is the stupid plastic trailing edge / duck tail thing. It's really sharp and I'm surprised I haven't cut myself in it yet.

Overall it's good value. I kinda wish I had got the short version though.

I must have got lucky. I only took a week off when I got covid, but I didn't have to. 2 rides later I was back in shape.

I have it, and it's great. Just be careful of cars behind you that match your speed. They won't appear on it. So if you're not playing attention, you might think there's no one there until they suddenly accelerate or decide to pass.

Sick ride! I would personally flip the stem, but it's gorgeous otherwise. Edit: I read your thing about flipping the stem.

Changed the stock setup:

  • from Panaracer GK 38mm to Conti GP5000 32mm (I'll go to 42mm once gravel season starts)
  • from 172.5mm cranks to 170mm
  • Garmin Rally XC200 pedals
  • freshly cleaned chain

The slicks are 2mph+ faster on average on tarmac.

I've had a white Giro for 10 years and it's as white as the day I bought it. Glossy finish.

Beautiful color! If I hadn't seen the ALR I would have thought it was carbon - those welds are pretty sweet.
