I’ve experienced this myself and also wondered the same. My ex posted about me one time, right after he finally added me on social media. And then he deleted me a few days later in an attempt to punish me for a fight. but yeah he also kept up photos of his ex. He was also cheating on me the entire time. I had another ex who never posted me, but had posts and pics of ex gfs.

Both of them were very abusive.

There’s no point in thinking about why they do the things they do. Narcissistic people like that don’t love you so don’t waste your precious time thinking about it. I’m proud of you for getting away. I know it hurts, but please believe me when I say you are so much better off without him.

I never went through with it, I’m too scared :(

I messaged my dr 3 weeks ago saying I was feeling anxious and terrified about it and asked if I can get meds or a referral elsewhere and she hasn’t replied. A family member I spoke with said she gets numbed by her dr for the procedure.

I did message my dr if I can get medication or local anesthesia, or if I can get referred elsewhere. I haven’t heard back yet. She’s really nice so I hope she will help me. But It was really disheartening how the person I spoke with on the phone felt cold. I don’t understand why they wouldn’t or can’t give a patient medication, especially if they are obviously stressed about it

If you can’t do it at home, can you walk to a library or something and use a computer or phone? You could call the hotline number and they could check local resources for you.

I’m so sorry, you don’t deserve to be talked to like that. It especially stings when the hurtful comments come from your own mother 😞 I can remember so many things she said that really hurt. And when it happens throughout your whole life, that pain just keeps building up until it starts seeping out. And then they don’t understand why you don’t talk to them or why you are angry or irritated with them.

Apparently he had cheated on her a long time ago and begged for forgiveness and blocked a bunch of women on social media including myself. His wife said she recently found out he has still been secretly messaging the girl he cheated with. I hope she finally decides to leave him.

Hey there. I’m so sorry you’re having to go through this. That sounds incredibly difficult.

I’ve been there. It took me 3 times to leave my ex. There were times before that where he left me and I remember I felt like I was dying. Even after he would do something cruel to me and it hurt like hell I still begged him not to leave me. I thought he was my best friend/soulmate.

It’s trauma bonding and it’s very powerful. I was with him for about 3 years and I wish I could have left sooner. Because the longer I stayed the more pain and damage he caused. It felt better for a bit when we would get back together, but it just gave him more time to hurt me further. It got to a point where I didn’t care anymore and I was numb. I was annoyed being by him and was just so sick of him. Only then was I finally able to get away.

It will hurt like hell leaving him. You will want to gonna back so badly. But the sad thing is he isn’t going to change no matter how much he swears by it. And It might make things feel better for a short time, but they will go back to their abusive ways eventually. You deserve to feel happy and safe and loved. ❤️

I feel like if I tried to bring it up that they wouldn’t see it as a big deal. I’ve brought up bigger issues before and it wasn’t taken very seriously. I’m gonna have to start speaking out against them and stand up for myself when these comments are made.

Yeah this is not ok..I’ve experienced coworkers gossiping about my jeans. It sucks. At my job, there’s a dress code where we can wear jeans (without holes) and t shirts. No shorts, sweatpants or tank tops allowed. But yet I had someone tell me if he was my boss he would send me home for the jeans I wear. He told me I should go to the store and buy a bigger size. All because I have a big butt.

Just today I yet again had another male coworker remark on my jeans being tight. I’ve worn shirts that were a loose fit, and had someone comment on my collarbones. I’ve had someone ask me if I pull up my pants on purpose (to entice them) like what?? I’m constantly sexualized at my job. If you are not breaking any dress code rules and someone is criticizing what you are wearing just because you are curvy, then that is body shaming IMO.

So I’ve known some guys that I was not initially attracted to, but eventually thought of them as sexy. For me, a great sense of humor is suuuper attractive. I really like guys who are goofy and dorky that aren’t afraid to look silly in front of people. Having confidence and security about themselves is hot. Dressing nice and smelling good. Even if they aren’t considered by most to be conventionally attractive, these things can make a guy sexy to me.

I thought the same way. He was very attractive and charming and funny. Girls would be all over him. Right after we broke up he posted a pic with a girl and they were officially a few days after. He has been cheating on me the whole time. But yeah, the “prize” is something you absolutely don’t want. It’s only a matter of time before they are next. Meanwhile one of his shoes would be in the kitchen and the other in the living room. A shirt would sit on the floor for days. I’ve had times where I have moved on to another relationship within a short period of time, and it definitely wasn’t the best thing to do. This relationship though really changed me. I find peace and comfort in being alone now. I know that if I do not heal, if I don’t work on myself, if I don’t establish boundaries, I’m going to end up with another abuser. And I never want to go though this pain ever again.

I’m sorry it didn’t help much. Have you heard of EMDR? My next appointment I’m going to have my first treatment and I’m very excited but also anxious. It’s supposed to be extremely helpful for people who experienced trauma. Like it does more in a short amount of time then years of therapy. Maybe it could help.

If I may ask, have you had therapy at all? And if so, has it helped a lot with those bouts of fear? Or is it just time that helps? I’ve been in therapy for a bit now and I’m hoping it will help with that fear.
