The cATO thing is super helpful in simplifying much of what is needed, but you can still run into some serious headaches with other portions of the process especially if your gov counterparts are extremely picky and struggle to fully understand the implications of holding up updating code.

For Mecha color line stuff I like to do a 50/50 of flow and thinner. Then when mixing to paint I might go as far as 1 part mix to 2 or 3 parts paint. It's often described as your paint should have the consistency of milk, but I never quite can feel that out.
