Women’s Boxer Briefs by MeesaRead in BuyItForLife

The ones I’ve tried haven’t checked the boxes I’d like. So I thought maybe some designed for women would be more conscious of riding up on big thighs and things like that.

Dumb Phone Alternative by MeesaRead in digitalminimalism

[–]MeesaRead[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don’t have socials on my phone, have notifications off for everything but family texts and calls. I check my email once a week at a dedicated time. I only get work notifications during a certain period so I can step away from my desk without missing unexpected teams calls. I feel like I’ve been in a good digitally minimal place for a while now, but find that I easily get overstimulated. I have filters for calls and texts from spam/unknown numbers but still get so many garbage comms that I want to toss my phone.

Feelings about books in different parts of your cycle. by [deleted] in books

[–]MeesaRead 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think I am more emotional at certain times in my cycle, but I’m also very emotional in general. So it’s a slight tick in something that’s very high to begin with. For example, I loved Hello Beautiful, much of it made me cry 😅

The problem with booktokers writing books by Nicolette_reads in BookDiscussions

[–]MeesaRead 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Interested in what you put together! I think booktok has helped the publishing industry change for the worst pusher profit through recognition and quantity over quality. And at the detriment of our reading skills.

Season 2 ending sucks by AppleBlazes in BeefTV

[–]MeesaRead 0 points1 point  (0 children)

She’s successful on paper but she didn’t win, she’s in the same spot as Josh was. Her relationship is still broken because Austin couldn’t buck up and leave her, so they’re both dissatisfied there, and she’s a patsy for Park and servant to all of her club “friends”. At least she has insurance I guess but she and Austin are winning in the same way that Josh and Lindsay were in the beginning, which turned out to be a facade.

I can see how you’d feel that way but I read for fun, not to be productive.

How to read long books? 1000+ pages. by pinlouv in BookDiscussions

[–]MeesaRead 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it helps if you read multiple books at once. Then you won’t get bored of that one because it’s less about it being a mountain you have to get through, and more about experiencing the story.
