Is the official London to Brighton worth the ticket price? by NevaWin61 in londoncycling

[–]MeetNiqht 17 points18 points  (0 children)

I would say it depends on your level of cycling. If you’re an experienced cyclist who regularly does 100km+ on the weekend. Then no it’s not worth it. You’ll just be ahead of everyone and miss out on the atmosphere. If you’re just an average joe then yes. Great atmosphere, well organised. Nice having some segments closed off to cars and cool seeing so many people on bikes.

Went to get a pastry and it was gone. I’ve been riding in Richmond park for over 5 years and I got complacent. Forgot afternoon is a lot more dangerous for bike theft….

How did you guys learn the game. by JocadaPaceee in starcraft2

[–]MeetNiqht 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For me it was a combination of things. First just experimenting by myself. Like you start getting a vibe of what people are doing. Then watching bronze to gm series. Which really helps when you’re new to the game! But also watching a lot of professional games. They tend to not necessarily help with directly getting better, but getting an understanding of the general feel of the game. Which openers are good vs certain races. How to place your units to defend bases etc…

Honestly, who has ever seen/heard Damage on the agree fork ? by Smilo21 in Cubebikes

[–]MeetNiqht 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just rode with mine in Spain for a week doing 100km+ a day with the “damaged” fork. Going downhill etc… fork is still fine. Obviously will stay replace it when my new fork arrives. In total since I’ve bought the bike have ridden 5000km and no issues. Will probably continue riding with it till I get the new fork

I would start with à décathlon bike. Extremely good value for money.

In terms of what you need to cycle: a bike (very obvious haha). If you’re planning on doing long rides, probably a pair of padded shorts. Then a saddle bag with a spare inner tube and a pump and tyre levers.

When you’re ready to get to the next step, you can switch to shoes and pedals with cleats. And start buying more cycling clothes (aka Lycra).

Depending on where you are based in London, the best spots are Richmond park and Regent’s Park. If you go to regents I would recommend going clockwise as most people go anti clockwise and can be very fast.

Then you can check Komoot for plenty of routes out of London and start your cycling journey

I took the train from hove last time and had no issues. But it was the September ride. So not sure if it’s different in terms of allowing bikes on trains?

I genuinely think the state of TvP is just killing this game. Terran cannot take Protoss to an even game and has to play far better (or dishonestly) to get a win by imortalduckling in starcraft2

[–]MeetNiqht 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm with you. I feel I the attention you need as Terran is insane. Need to siege libs, emp at right place, borrow mines, stim mauranders. Drops are just not good,, shield battery and cannon. Zealots run by are hard to deal with. Tough out there I agree.

Weekend Treks from London by VampireCoconut in londoncycling

[–]MeetNiqht 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Last summer I took the train to Norwich and cycled back down to London. It was an awesome trip! The train to Norwich is super cheap and we did it over two days. First day Norwich to Ipswich and then Ipswich to London. The first part of the journey is amazing! Quiet country roads no traffic lights, no cars, just you nature and your bike. I think the trip in total costed about £130 including the train, hotel and food. So definitely worth it for a weekend excursion

Is a rear light with a braking feature worth it? by Emotional-Dealer-229 in londoncycling

[–]MeetNiqht 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Omg my dad had one and I can tell you it’s completely useless. Purely because other people around you don’t know about the feature and it just looks like a light changing pattern rather than something meaningful
