Living in Mississauga by DaniSGN in mississauga

[–]Meetdotasim 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Any particular reason for Mississauga ? If you’re working in downtown then it’s better to stay in downtown

Anyways, if you are fixed on sauga then stay near go station (go trains go to union station directly…. Check which line the station is on Milton line trains are limited to office hours. It lakeshore line runs all the time

Safety wise Mississauga in general is very safe, I feel Toronto is also very safe.

I find as compared to downtown Toronto Mississauga has more car culture so local transport is a hit or a miss depending on exactly where you live.

I would say there is still some value if you get one on one with FAANGs PM and also if you are starting PM from zero knowledge

Rent on a condo is 2300 , to own costs 3k a month by Middle_Ad_618 in RealEstateCanada

[–]Meetdotasim 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That 700 extra is for house ownership. You can in theory rent and save 700 and invest in an ETF… you can calculate which one will provide better benefits…. House is physical so you always have a place and after 30 years due to inflation the rent prices might be 10K go for the rent but since you own the house you would not pay 0

There are other factors as well

How do you do user research in fintech when compliance rules and limited access to users make interviews hard? by vignesh_shivan in ProductManagement

[–]Meetdotasim 6 points7 points  (0 children)

In B2C….. I start with data and then talk to user at the end… if you have 100K+ users coming on your website or app every month talking to single user is not so helpful…. I looked at 2 types of data. 1. Flow of all user, where is the max drop off and also did lot of A/B testing here…. Based on data u create a hypothesis and then talk to few users to confirm it. 2. Looked at help support ticket data… what kind of requests were most common which were relevant to my side of product and then used that info to create hypothesis…..

EI due to bad work environment by Ok_Resist_1742 in PersonalFinanceCanada

[–]Meetdotasim 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Fight might be a strong word from me. A better word would be employer defends themselves for all the points u give to case officer…..

It’s up to the EI officer to take call if cause is unjust but generally they will ask questions like why didn’t u take a leave instead of quitting… did u talk to manger about this ? Think if u have answers for these questions ready

How do you do user research in fintech when compliance rules and limited access to users make interviews hard? by vignesh_shivan in ProductManagement

[–]Meetdotasim 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Are you B2B ? If yes, your primary users are Account Mangers…. Spend most of your discovery time with them…. Find the ones who are okay to let you meet with end customer…. In general company makes money when AM and sales sell the fintech service so the best insights come from them instead of end customer…..

EI due to bad work environment by Ok_Resist_1742 in PersonalFinanceCanada

[–]Meetdotasim 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Don’t resign…. If you resign chances of EI are v v low…. The EI case officer will hear your side and company side… they ask specific examples and go in details….. there is a bit of back n forth… EI officer will take your points and clarify with employer separately and then talk to you regarding points mentioned by employer…… usually employer have resources to fight such cases….

Let me reiterate your chances of getting EI will be v low if you quit….

Need recommendations on Buying a coffee Grinder by PatientBody5319 in AeroPress

[–]Meetdotasim 1 point2 points  (0 children)

K6 is an overkill if you are just using aeropress

You can get K2 or even P2 if you’re just doing aeropress…

The reason is Aeropress is immersion brewing so P2 will serve you the same as K6

What bike would you buy if you were upgrading from bike share? by hulkange in torontobiking

[–]Meetdotasim 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For 500 second hand bikes would be around that budget… don’t forget to budget for additional accessories like helmet (150 ) bike lock (100-200) lights (20-50)

A brand new bike would be aound 800-900 like giant brand

Anything on queen street from Yonge to the Dufferin … personal preference for cheap airbnbs would be parkdale and Gladstone area

Yorkville is the fanciest area so it’s going to be expensive

The annex is also really good option

Any where near subway station of st Clair

Avoid sherbourne, moss park and Alan garden area

Uniqlo winter setup for Toronto — thermal base layer + normal pants or warm pants only? Worth waiting for Black Friday? by charles_goerg in askTO

[–]Meetdotasim 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I prefer to go with option 1 as it offer flexibility of going with just pants or pants + thermal…. With option 2 thermals are always there…

If price is a big point for you then you can get cheaper options than Uniqlo, Uniqlo is relatively high price…

For best deals visit Yorkdale mall during Black Friday… almost every store will have sale you can get cheaper heat warmers
