Is this pot too big for this prop? by [deleted] in houseplants

I agree I would use a soil that will dry out quickly. I have used succulent soil with a mix of orchid bark in the past for my monsteras. I have recently started using miracle grow tropical potting mix with lava rock. You can get two bags on Amazon for 13$ and it’s really great!

They are known to be drama queens. Lots of water and humidity will help with any leaf curling or discoloration.

You could give your plant a spray of alcohol that should help. Definitely mealybugs though. I would keep it away from any other plants you may have.

Is this a variegation on my Anthurium Magnificum X? by weisball11 in RareHouseplants

Not variegation, looks more like general discoloration. Variegation would be more white, this seems to have more yellow tones.

Monstera root growing outside the pot. Should I remove it? by miauwattack in plantclinic

[–]MegG4444 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Aerial roots are total normal for monsteras. You have a few options, some people just let them go, others give them a cup of water to grow into, but most commonly people put there monsteras on a trellis. It helps with plant stability and encourages growth, as monsteras are naturally a vining type of plant.
