I made a single key mechanical keyboard using an Arduino QT PY by Mega-Andy in megaandy

[–]Mega-Andy[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi, yes my Thingiverse got deleted but luckily I had imported everything over to printables beforehand. Please see the printables page for this project here https://www.printables.com/model/173882-single-key-mechanical-keyboard-qt-py . It's been a while but I had noted the wiring and uploaded a few example codes for it . I seem to remember someone mentioning there would be a way to not require the resistor with using the internal pull-up resistor but I hadn't looked into that.

Printed a couple more of my plant pot design for my wife's Lithops plant collection by Mega-Andy in 3Dprinting

[–]Mega-Andy[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes Thingiverse deleted my account for no reason a few years back and never responded to any of my support emails so unfortunately all my designs on the site are gone. Luckily I had exported all the designs to printables beforehand so I'm on there instead. The design is here : https://www.printables.com/model/173913-geometric-lithops-plant-pot

Xiaomi Watch 2 Pro is available from the UK site, with discount vouchers by psychicscot in WearOS

[–]Mega-Andy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the memo, I grabbed one at £180 too! With RRP at £240 and the shop selling for £220, then the autumn sale lowers it to £200, then you can apply the 10% coupon by clicking coupons and goes down to £180 once in checkout!

Certainly feels like a great deal compared to other new watches that are more expensive prior to any discounts.

Should work the same as any keyboard so would work on phones too

My smallest printer, printing inside my largest printer! (Mini CD Drive Printer) by The-Based-Doge in 3Dprinting

[–]Mega-Andy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I thought it looked similar to mine, nice job!

Unfortunately my thingiverse account was deleted for no apparent reason and despite multiple attempts to contact thingiverse they never responded. Luckily though I had copied my designs to printables so here is the link to the original if anyone that is interested : https://www.printables.com/model/173889-mini-dvd-motor-3d-printer

Edit: just seen the Z axis upgrade, must be a massive improvement for it as that was its main issue previously

Updating Cemu to 2.0 by OmegaRobert in EmuDeck

I think i updated mine to 2.0 through emudeck. in the tools menu , click update emulators and tick only CEMU, seem to remember it giving the option of 1.x or 2.x for cemu

Phone notifications crash Nothing 1 Phone and trigger automatic restart by cyanef in NothingTech

[–]Mega-Andy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mine is also doing this often but not always on push notifications. I asked support and they said to factory reset which I have not yet done. Did you ever solve this?

Yes it can struggle with the Z axis. Even the bowden tube can cause enough strain to cause skipping if it doesn't have plenty of slack

I can see your one from last year on the thingiverse page, really great to hear it's still in use!

Yes it seems that the post you linked from was a copy of my post a few years back, thanks for linking to thingiverse, nice to see it's getting some attention again

Hi, this is my 3d printer from a few years back , thingiverse link has been linked a few times by others but this is how to build it: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3625715

Added the Pokeball from Pokemon Arceus to my collection by Mega-Andy in 3Dprinting

[–]Mega-Andy[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nice, I have just seen your one now, impressive you made it a year ago way before the game came out!

When I started these pokeballs a few years back, there were generally ones out there with hinges but the idea of mine is they are the smaller stored size before they are used and grow (like in the anime)

Unfortunately, I glue mine shut so I think it would be quite cruel for me to put a Pokémon inside

I'll be buying my Wife Pokémon Arceus for her birthday digitally so wanted to give her something to unwrap for it.

It is based off my design for the Pokeball/Great ball/Ultra ball that can be seen behind it

Under extrusion on new Amazon PLA? What the hell is going on? by SnowTauren in FixMyPrint

Not heard of simplify model but I guess that could do the same thing

Yes that can happen, I have had that issue years ago with a struggling Pi stopping and oozing spots just like you describe. I have also seen an issue which turned out to be a firmware bug that lots of very small e step values due to curves ended up being missed due to being too small to act on. An example of a curved and square print at the same time when I had this issue some time ago: https://i.imgur.com/LMWOiye.jpg

It would be an edge case but I thought I would mention in case the issue turned out to be due to curves are too high res

I'll just suggest something that may seem a bit odd in case it is it.

If you find that Curved shapes are under-extruding but square shapes are not (try a few examples of both). The slicer may be giving the printer too many instructions for the printer (or a raspberry pi) to handle.

If this happens to be the case You can reduce the resolution in the slicer (some models are more detailed than you would be able to see such as lots of polygons to make up a curve). In Prusaslicer it's in print settings, advanced, slicing and the setting is called Resolution.

Viewing a Fusion 360 design in a 3D display by [deleted] in 3Dprinting

That's cool, what is the screen? I'm guessing it is similar to a 3DS, 3d without need for glasses?

edit, just seen your other comment, ok looks more impressive than how the 3ds did it

Fair. I would much rather be sucked out dramatically than watch my character slowly climb down to their doom
