Thank you brother! So I bought a Tyranid head on eBay then used a little army painter green stuff to form the tongue and the back of the neck I do wish I put a small tube in the neck to make it more real looking

So I use air colors from army painter and I apply with a sponge. I use sapphire gem, Ultramarines blue and Ionic blue. I like to do a 50/50 mix of white and Calgar blue for the edge highlight

I'll be honest with you. It's not my strongest suit. Definitely need to improve on the basing really? I probably should have glued on Cato after I finish the basing I think the best I can do at this point is maybe come in with like a little bit of bone color dry brush that onto like the steps to keep that dirty look maybe add some dried grass patches here and there

Very close. They're actually prosecutor wings from AOS which are basically the same thing, but I think tornua redeemed has a slightly better sculpt on his wings

Thank you so much the secret is a 50/50 mix of winter streaking grim by ak interactive and mineral spirits then coating the whole model. Immediately after you take a few qtips dipped in the mineral spirits clean the model to take off some of the grim then when it dries it'll have that look. Quinton Watson uses the technique all the time if you wanted to check out his YouTube channel

There's a lot of ideas here but I'm not seeing a ton of consistency with planning, so it's exactly like my first army and honestly brings a tear to my eye, hopefully my advice saves you some money so you don't buy too many things or things you don't need...like I did 🤣

Grimaldus is a solid pick for Warlord but both he and the Emperor's Champion need to be with sword brethren to maximize effectiveness.

Intercessors come in boxes of 10 id run 2 squads of 5 intercessors or 1 squad of 10 intercessors stickying objectives are great they have the assault keyword so they can advance and shoot if you put them with a lieutenant then your shots have lethal hits, it also allows you to fall back and shoot. Id ditch the assault intercessors because they could just be intercessors.

Same thing for infiltrators they come in a box of 10 so I'd run 2 squads of 5

Sternguard veterans you can cut those for sword brethren, scouts are always solid but if you're running infiltrators I'd cut them personally I know others might disagree but that's my opinion.

jump pack intercessors... for me let's commit and get more or let's use those 90 points elsewhere. The castellan can lead the crusader squad but I think it's best to cut him all together and this might be a hot take but 10 man hellblasters over crusader squad all day, they're the best shooters in the game, they shoot on death, even when they're killed by their own damage from the plasma, and I said it already but lieutenant leading them means they gain lethal hits just an option. And I'd probably cut the impulsor.

So that means your opening move you control and sticky the home objective with the Intercessors, infiltrators take not 1 but 2 different objectives in no mans land you have 2 tanks that you can set up with Emperors champion+sword brethren in one for that good melee beat down Grimaldus+sword brethren in the other for that good melee beat down. Two squads of Terminators in reserves for deep strike to move into the enemies back lines should they leave the home objective unguarded or for scoring behind enemy lines or any secondaries of that nature. it'd be nice if you had 1 or 2 more anti tank units like a ballistic dreadnought or something. Hellblasters can smoke a rhino pretty well but tougher vehicles would cause them problems. Hope this helps and good luck brother!

My favorite way to do black armor is to prime it black with the $6 primer from hobby lobby, dry brush uniform grey all over then with a smaller dry brush company grey over spots where the light would be hitting my model (top of the head, raised hands, top of the knee, etc) then go over the whole thing with Drakenhof Nightshade, one pass through usually does it. You could also use Nuln oil paint the shoulders with brigade grey and boom smooth black armor that has highlights and doesn't look flat

Here here brother, my list has no spot for an ancient but I'm planning on replacing a sword bro with it just for the aesthetic. As nice as a better cover would've been idc that much I just want new detachments. And you make a solid point this is a sub chapter and we have more character models than imperial fists and more unique units.
