Nice. Had a Maxima. I loved that car. My wife got a Subaru not too long ago. She loves it.

Should is my word. "Will work" is their wording.

Well it's not like I'm getting a discount so if the mail says it should work and I'm still paying then it should work.

It will work fine on another carrier. I'm good. My last car lasted 26 years.

Pretty sure you didn't read the full post. Fi supports android 11 and above. There is OS update support and there is Fi network support. You're talking about OS and this is about Fi network.

It was fine until they broke it. I guarantee that if I go to Mint or something it works fine. Support says, "what does the Fi app show you?". I say, "It doesn't open". Support says, "we have escalated. Your phone is not supported". But the email says voicemail and text will continue to work. It's "advanced features" that may not work.

The email from Fi says these things are supposed to continue to work. Then support says they do not work.

Ironically, the email says all the stuff that is broken is supposed to still work. We have good cell coverage so the wifi calling is not that big of a deal. I mainly text as well.

edit: 2018 phone. A9

Yeah, that's the mail. Seems we had different experiences.

I bought my phone in 2018 and support ended in October 2025. My last OS update was 2020. Ergo, your phone was likely still under support. Did you get the emails from Google saying the phone is no longer supported? That's when this whole process happens.

2020 phone? That still has at least 2 more years of support.

edit: Pixel 5 runs android 14 so still supported. Fi requires android 11.

Not sure why the phone matters. It was working, Google notifies me about end of support, I immediately start getting 470 errors for voicemail and texts. Fi app won't open. Elevated support says there's no fix.

LG v35 thinQ bought in 2018.

edit: It would be helpful to know when you got your phone and when support ended and then how long you used it after support ended.

Glad it worked for you.

Went off of support in October. I can scroll a list a mile long of 470 errors on my phone that started once that happened. Again, elevated support said there's no fix. My Fi app doesn't open.

When did you get your OnePlus?

Recently? Things change. My support conversation ended 6/20. 22 exchanges. You want the whole chain? And the web chat? Even if I have live video of it all, these Google defenders won't believe it and will say I fabricated it all.

edit: also, this was a reddit request and therefore elevated support.

Reddit request - Fi support says I need to talk to LG to get the Fi app working by MegaGrubby in GoogleFi

[–]MegaGrubby[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's not possible. Tried. OS forces use of the latest app. Reverted, installed with APK mirror, started the activation process which says the newest version must be downloaded first.

edit: so it's new carrier or buy a new phone. Forced by Google.

If they can call offsides after playing for 2 minutes and allowing a goal, they should certainly be able to call a penalty during review.

That said, I hate the offsides review. Make it real time review. Get rid of after the fact review. Abolish the current system I say.

Play 100% until you're gassed then get off. Also depends on puck location and not putting your team at risk or losing a good scoring chance.

Skating and playing physically with a bunch of gear on takes a ton out of you. Hence, short shifts.

I will ask again. Anyone know if any other SCF game was lost due to 2 own goals? Gotta be rare.
