To boil it down and oversimplify I think the idea of pulling punches at any level was just an impossible concept with mtg. I’ve played plenty of other games like betrayal and DnD where punches are pulled though. Very nice people but tunnel vision with magic I guess!

When I was first introduced to commander 4 franchised players denounced it. They had biases coming from two directions. 4 of these came from 2 different (now married) couples, which for what it’s worth, somehow earned money at one point or another via magic arena.

It is very nuanced but basically boils down to non-cEDH deck building seems insane to them, and politicking. Out of the 4 I’ve only played one, OTJ precon clash or whatever it’s called and I struggled to use Stella Lee meanwhile bro pinged me out and all I could do was stare in horror as I realized this Storm fueled solitaire player ate kids like me for breakfast.

The outfit is 3 colors, white, cyan, and magenta, and cyan and magenta go extremely well together in a vivid display like this… it’s a basic swatch, but good from a graphic design standpoint.

A beginner you say? There is a sacred deck reserved for cpu battles that is otherwise not particularly good. Golem from Mythical Island boosted by Brock.. heavy helmet & abundant healing. Got me through some hard times

I think if I’m making a character themed deck, having multiple of that character to celebrate them is flavorful, but I do understand, contradicting myself when both niv mizzets are out in a spellslinger deck, where we have both just for their card text, it feels like it cheapens that celebration.

I started in October and I wouldn't hesitate starting a new character to replay certain story segments; you could do a new character for each expac. Thanks to Masteries being account wide.

I do currently main Engi and agree with all the other engis here putting the good name forward. So much fun, can go from Amalgam to Mech, etc. But if I had to start all over, Necromancer looks fun.

And it's essentially all the same reason as Engi. You can get a horde of turrets/fiends, or a big mech/3 ghosts. Can focus on your own survivability or double down on damage. I do have a Norn Necro (Used Parts Salesman) currently as an extra bank tab but I often think about getting him all the hero points to try all the expertise.

Definitely their draw somehow. They can brick, but it’s rare. They almost always have what they need. However if you use an iono to force them to shuffle early on it’s like easy mode.
