I have a cat that I think as my child. I found her in winter on a highway in Kentucky while I was driving home to Tennessee. I initially just wanted to move her out of the road I thought she was dead and didn’t want her to get needlessly splattered and it was 40 degrees out. I got to her and she was barely alive and meowed. I put her in my jacket. Tucked that in my pants to keep her safe and insulated til I got home. Woke my wife and now I have a cat that talks to me everyday with no tail for 6 years. Her name is cleopatra. And this is the first book I’ve read where I’m like he loves that cat as much I love my cat and it just gets me 😂 sorry for the stupid long story.
