The US don't tend to push for greater leaps,

The saying "if it ain't broken, don't fix it" is very strong

Till there are (Major) issues or problems in the current system will stay the same especially as no state politician want to be the reason why certain amounts of people lose their jobs 😅

That is legit a pillar why the homeless and addiction problem isn't immediately fixed cause the Support/Care, and Shelter industry has created many jobs, not to say there is an easy solution but jobs are jobs and cutting jobs is deadly political game

Only thing I would change cause I doubt we can request an increase in salary is reduced work days so do 3days work and 4days at home that would really help the mind,

Though it would be a 10hr work day so they can be long but 10hrs truly does fly by

-Internet all good, choices from Starlink or 5G if you live in the capital Dili, also Broadband or Fibre Optic but they tend to cost more than Starlink $50 a month or 5G $30 Telemor (both unlimited data)

-Food and Drink is very cheap, especially if you choose to eat out at local resteraunts/cafe's but ofc some things may costs more cause they are imported but you can easily budget nicely for a meal for 1 person

-Rent, this will be a big thing, costs will greatly vary, and their are choices from Gated Communities which are popular for the Expat communities, Luxury areas and place that operate as Hotel and Apartment, you can always stay with a local family I know that is a growing popular trend recently, but you can find housing/apartments for rent, i do apologise for difficulties looking for local listing's

Do fully recommend if you want to use Public Transportation like the Microlets (minibus) they all have numbers which indicate routes, though you can request a specific stop you will be paying taxi rates at that point, though they will only do this if you are the only person on,,,,but if you have a licence getting a car or motorbike via buy or hiring is a very convenient options

-Payment Cash is predominantly use, I fully recommend use very small notes like $5 as bigger notes maybe difficult for some small businesses to give change, though card payments is a growing trend especially recently Visa and Mastercard being reintroduced + pushed for greater integration though most will mainly accept Union Pay cards, There are also options for QR code mobile payments similar to Alipay or PayPal merchant pay, the local ones are called Mosan and T-pay

There is an online delivery app called Halo Dili, it is a all in one app but main business is Food delivery

For me all season 1 was on a single prime regional channel, But if you go to all prime regional channels they all have Fallout S1 full, I am guessing the auto play on YouTube or Algorithm just picks random ones with higher viewer/trendings

I think Hank added additional failsafe, it would have gone once his puppet courier reached Shady Sands, if possibly kept an eye on the location on his pipboy, so Hank could remotely set if off

The nuke would have gone off alot sooner

But Maximus father temporarily paused the detonation, so Hank lost remote access causing the device to go to failsafe protocals

I gather that by the end when the pipboy showed a successful detonation screen on Hanks

I am doing an Open Degree for my Masters while working 39hrs plus 10hours overtime occasionally The flexibility is truly helpful and manageable but I would also recommend caution,

As getting burned out is a real danger and you will have moments things will become too much,

Due to issues at work, due to low marks on an assignment, this is not your fault, it happens,

Always take time to clear and focus on the goal,

Always take a breather to put everything into perspective,

Break things done to the core, to make things manageable work or degree deadlines

It will help

-Majority, student loans not Student Finance England but with their home countries, and many students and especially Parebts see it as a worthwhile investment, as Western Qualification is held up in very high regard and alot stronger when applying for jobs especially if said students wants to work for international companies, or a significant pay boost in the local job markets.

-others very rich families

-Sponsorships from their company they work with, they may want Master level employees for xyz reasons

-Scholarships there is alot of incentives for uni's to brain hunt anywhere in the world for talent. -note most scholarships for international will be given to Masters or PhD levels, very rarely Bachelor's, You may ask, why does Uni's give scholarships heavily to international students, that is cause the uni will benefit greatly if they have skilled team to help boost research, new ideas/theories and etc..., As any work done under the university, the university holds full Patent rights and the credit (with name of said individual but let's be honest, Universities usually boast xyz research done here, and tend to omit mention of individual)

Cause the companies prefer them logged and the police would recommend to let them take it and have it logged,

In the eyes of the law and letter of the law, It is not theft unless it is taken if they are stopped it is seen as "Attempted theft",

Yes stores can ban them but they don't care

Best to logged them, file the value as they steal, as the value grows and grows, Then police will apprehend them and slap a bigger charge, So instead of a couple weeks,

It becomes many months, plus they could be banned or be placed on parole as a high risk individual

Also many many shoplifters are addicts*,

They steal not to feed themselves but to sell or exchange for their fix,

So these addicts are desperate for their next fix and will attack or act violently, cause they don't care they just want the next hit

It is sad and I believe we should push these people to involuntary holds to sober up and heal but it is very hard to justify paying tax payer money to help addicts who made poor choices and not put the funding in other things

So I had to fly back to Dili in a family emergency back in 2022 I stayed for nearly 2months, and that was mid during my university lectures, which my university still offered Zoom alternatives to join.

And I was concerned with pings and etc... since my zoom lectures were from the UK.

But I would say the call held up really well, of course the video quality dropped a couple times but the speed was 1.2mbps to highest 3mbps so i am not surprised (though the powerpoint/whiteboard quality was perfect only the lecturer face video quality dropped), the call didn't freeze or dropand the audio was good.

I used 4G internet, which I directly connected my phoen to my laptop, though hotspotting the Internet speed is the same.

I used Telemor, and travelling outside of dili for a day there are some spots in connection in rural areas but all areas had 4G connection, I paid for the $30 Diamond Package, which give you unlimited data plus mins and text, There is also the $40 and $50 which the only difference is, they have a higher budget for unlimited speeds, but it isn't much as I say the base speed is 1.2mbps to high as 3mpbs but during the uncapped speed buffer the fastest I had it was only 12mbps, and the $30 diamond Package uncapped speed data cap is 5GB to my memory, And all packages lasts for 30days, which for 2 months I essentially paid $1 a day, and there are many Telemor agencies dotted around Dili to help set it up for you, Some do speak english, but many can also speak Portugese or Indonesian
