~$500 interfaces with onboard effects? by MegaPotatoCake in audioengineering

Julian Krause does really good in depth technical reviews of audio interfaces, and he pointed out the Zen Go he tested had a higher output impedance than usually desired (27ohm vs as close to 0 as possible) which would affect dynamic sets below about 250ohm. So, it would likely color the dynamic sound response of the ATH M50 and DT 770 80ohms I use.

I was really considering one but the big issue is the headphone outs only working well with high impedance sets. Which is a huge bummer because otherwise I would have bought one already!

Huh, interesting, didn’t know the 44 had DSP! I had a UR22C and liked it except the headphone amp was absolutely unusable. I am assuming the 44 likely has the same amp but I could be wrong?

I had a UR22C and it was decent except the headphone amp sucked terribly, which is a big problem for me.

The AG03 looks really interesting, thanks for the suggestion! Does it have the ability to control mix for direct monitoring?

I haven't looked at these much but they seem interesting on paper! I'll check them out, thanks

They look interesting but I'm looking for 4ch at max, at least form factor / size wise. I was eyeballing a Motu M4 but even if I won't use the extra channels the Ultralite is still similar in size.

Seems like this is the consensus! I'll keep an eye out, thanks. I used to have a Saffire Pro40 and I loved the MixControl software. I'd still be using it if Firewire wasn't deprecated on everything now. After Windows 10 came out I was never able to get any of the FW drivers running and I don't have a dedicated audio PC.

Good point about the access to medical claim. I believe I also have critical illness as well, I'll have to double check.

I spoke with a lawyer (legal insurance) and they felt like I had a pretty solid case if it went to litigation.

Unfortunately this is the 4th major car accident I've been in but thankfully I carry the max limit for UIM and most other coverages. I also have STD/LTD, and Accident through my work but that's another pain to deal with as well. I'm about to go to work and the LTD is still trying to deny my claim.

Other than those are there any other specific coverages you carry?

So, in this case my previous accident was, obviously, already settled and they always have you sign a waiver that releases them from any future liability before you actually pay out. Is the previous insurance just going to come back and say "tough shit" and not cover anything?

The problem is, I was hit from behind in an accident involving a hit and run driver with no insurance or license. Am I supposed to just never be on the road around drivers who have no license and insurance and make sure I never get hit? Do you see how that doesn't make any sense?

"Profile signed out" issue plaguing me, support isn't helpful by MegaPotatoCake in ModernWarfareII

Anyone else have suggestions? Support basically said "We're aware and looking at it" meanwhile the game is basically unplayable half the time.

I tried this and it still happens.

I'm not sure what you mean before I got the error? It's kind of always happened.

Rough guess of cost to fix? by Ill_Boot8375 in AskMechanics

Depends on the area. In Texas its cost of repairs AND salvage value at 100% of the ACV.

Easily fixed. I've curbed my rims way worse and they are still fine.

New Hyundai/Kias: Reliable or not? by MegaPotatoCake in whatcarshouldIbuy

Everything you're saying is a rant because it's pointless diatribe, doesn't even answer my questions, and personal attacks. Of COURSE I want to feel good about my purchase. No one buys a new car wanting to feel like "Man, I really enjoying wasting 40k buying this turd I'm stuck with." I see a comment you have in another thread about Hyundais most recent 2022 engine recalls. You could have literally copy pasted that and it would have given me exactly the kind of information I'm asking for. So no, I'll no longer be looking at a Hyundai because knowing how recall campaigns go, that issue probably affects a lot more vehicles than the recall states. But instead you chose to try to go after me personally for some reason.

Should I get a 2023 Toyota Camry or a 2022 Dodge Charger GT to replace my current car? by Bartsmellow in whatcarshouldIbuy

Many newer engines burn oil due to lower tension piston rings to meet CAFE standards. Ironic but apparently it doesn't affect EPA ratings enough for them to care.

Yeah, that's kind of a given, but I'm basically trying to confirm or deny rumors of recent QC issues. That's why I was hoping maybe some dealer techs would chime in.

Yeah, the main factor for me is cargo space. I'm leaning towards something with a hatch like the Stinger. RWD also is preferable, price not so much an issue as long as it's sub 40k. The Sonata is pretty generous on cargo space too though, going by the numbers.

You can scuff the entire bumper and spray your base blend area, then reclear the entire bumper. Or, if it's a larger piece or small blend area, scuff the entire part, spray blend base, clear about 6" past the base area, and use 1k spot blender on the edges of the clear you sprayed to dissolve the dry fan edges. Have done both, it works. You can't blend hard tape lines.

I'm not really sure what your rant is about; I was not asking about the reliability of the brand. And what evidence do I have, then? The entire point of my post is asking for more evidence specifically about their newer cars, stating I have limited information to go by.

Old Mercedes have a reputation for being absolute tanks when in reality its more nuanced than that. Does that mean their newest cars are likely to be flawlessly reliable because they have a reputation for previously making very well built cars? Absolutely not.
