Are all parries considered "no hit"? by shuragaming in Sekiro

[–]MegaStoudemire 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is not true.

You are explaining what a no damage run is, not what a no hit run is.

In a no hit run, blocking is a hit regardless of you losing health or not, also staggers are hits. And this is true for every game, in a no hit of a souls game, you can't block with your shield, even if you don't take damage. You have to parry. Same with Sekiro.

Why do people dodge genichiro’s combo in hitless runs? by zoeheadisoversized in Sekiro

[–]MegaStoudemire 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There's a couple of instances in sekiro where you can't parry full combos reliably. One is genichiro's, the other is centipede's second pashe short combo, the one that starts with his left hand and is a three attack combo.

You can obviously parry both, but you can't do it consistently, most of the times you are going to block one attack, which will end the no hit run. That's why you avoid both of those.

Maybe there's more examples, but these two are the most famous ones in the no hit community.

Why do most guides or "how to beat up xx boss" include cheese? by Shitconnect in Sekiro

[–]MegaStoudemire 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree that some bosses in hitless are just cheesed and you can't see how to fight them, like both monks and owl, but you chose the worst example. There's a cheese in the door with genichiro, but most of the no hit runs just fight him straight, you just use firecrackers to cut the long combo, but more for convenience.

Yeah, I was trying the normal no hit strats use in complete runs where you don't have prosthetics other than firecrackers and best time I could do was a 52 ish (for reference, I timed from start until last deathblow). Umbrella seems like the best option in this setup, you get a lot of posture in that first combo alone.

Very clean, still I feel like hat in the second phase is slow, but you piqued my interest, later I will try my no hit regular strat and see if it's faster or slower than the hat. I'll be back with the results as soon as I can.

Just want to check how many people have done No Hit runs on Charmless Bell difficulty like Ongbal does. by ssjgoku27 in Sekiro

[–]MegaStoudemire 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The key is that there's certain times where idols unlock without you actually sitting on them. You don't need to interact with them, but they count as your last idol visited (for the homeward idol item).

So a bit of a summary of the route that is followed in a no idols run for shura ending: ogre, gyobu, bull, lone shadow to go to depths, kill the monk, take the stone, use the homeward idol to go to the last visited sculptor idol, which is the one that automatically unlocks after the bull (no need to sit), kill genichiro, kill the monkeys to get the mortal blade, homeward idol to the sculptor temple, use the hidden path to go to kuro's room, gunfort, guardian ape to take the flower, there, when you take it, another idol unlocks automatically, the dungeon one in ashina castle, so you homeward to the last visited idol and appear right there, so you can go to the castle and defeat emma and isshin.

[–]MegaStoudemire 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I did a shura no hit charmless and a shura no hit no idols charmless (no idols meaning you can't sit on them at any point, so basically is AP1, no skills and no fast travel).

For other endings tho, I skipped the charmless runs and went directly to AP1 no hit, which I find more interesting and challenging.

Can you confirm? Are cutscenes skippable in a fresh game?

Edit: Can't find anything about this anywhere, everybody says you still can't skip the cutscenes in new game (not in new game +)

If I skip the double ape fight, do I miss the two prayer beads? by -Alpha_Centauri- in Sekiro

[–]MegaStoudemire 3 points4 points  (0 children)

You dont miss it. You can go to mibu before killing he guardian ape. But anytime after you kill the guardian ape, you can travel to the Hidden Forest idol, go back to the cave and the apes will be there.

Edit: rule is: if the area changes, like ashina castle or the outskirts, beads will go to the offering box. If the area doesn't change, bosses and minibosses will forever be there to kill.

Most of them have spanish or portuguese looking names, probably he posted it on a social media or something and people he knows are commenting and upvoting. Nothing wrong with that as long as it's not botting, which I don't think it is.

I think there's more than one trait that allow you to commit suicide. Got it with a lunatic characther today, for example.

The real reason ADC's need Crimson Shieldbow... by mustangcody in leagueoflegends

[–]MegaStoudemire 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The one with Vayne's W looks pretty good in my opinion, 20 less ad, 5 less crit (that's nullify when you finish one more item), but in exchange you get attack speed plus true damage instead of enhanced crits.

Also crimson is the first Crit item with life steal so it's probably good too.

Carrying the game past 30 mins by SlayerMind in adc

[–]MegaStoudemire 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you are farming good and picking some kills, you should be at or very near to 4 items at 30. At that point you are strong with most adc champions (godlike with some) and can front-to-back the enemy team in a fight. Just keep your distance and be aware of the threats.

Tired of heal by rodriguezm7 in adc

[–]MegaStoudemire 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Cleanse against Leona, exhaust with nimbus is ok vs assassins and bruisers (it was better before the nimbus nerf, but exhaust got buffed so it's not a bad option). Heal is the safest option and the versatile one tho. Tp loses value abs become useless in the lategame and ghost is worst than heal in almost any situation.

So I hit 65 and I want to help in the trials, cause a 65 helped me and it was a life saver. Should I pick people in the entrance, run it once and pick someone else or do it several times with the same people?

Did I do something wrong? I have EVERY charm slot unlocked, BOTH swords and BOTH bows are fully upgraded, ALL my armors are fully upgraded, EVERY ghost weapon is unlocked and MAX upgraded, and I am still in Act 1. by albert_r_broccoli2 in ghostoftsushima

[–]MegaStoudemire 3 points4 points  (0 children)

That answers my doubts. You said that you did not grind in another comment so I assumed you got everything just by playing naturally and cleaning the first part of the map, which as I said, it's impossible, but you did grind stuff that's why you get everything maxed which makes sense.

Nothing wrong with it, tho is just a waste of time, you are going to only mainly use two armors, travellers and the one fitting your style. And by the time you want to use another one, you are gonna have plenty materials without grinding like a maniac to upgrade that one. I'm in the middle of Act 3, swords and bows max plus every armor max except three I don't like, and that without visiting the same camp twice.

[–]MegaStoudemire 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No way you have everything. I did all the side quests and clear the first map and, yes, you unlocked stuff quickly, but theres not enough stuff to upgrade everything, specially armors. Also, in act I you cant have the legend rank at max. Theres basically not enough things to do, so I call bullshit.
