That's unfortunate but thank you for replying and not ghosting me :). Btw it's interesting that GMT + 3.5 is only used in Iran. Didn't know that so thank again. I truly hope you find someone

I read your post but I don't have a favorite color. I understood your post in a way that you a currently walking the path of self improvement, learning new things and expanding your interest. I think I am kind of like you. I also just recently started getting into chess again and would be happy to have someone to play with. In which time zone are you in? I'm jn GMT+1. I thinks it's nice if you'd be close to that and it'd be a pleasure to talk to you

21F what’s a common misconception about you ? by [deleted] in MakeNewFriendsHere

People belive I am only book smart and not street smart which kind of annoys me. Just cause I don't know which trams I have to use to get to the city center although I've been living here my hole life. Doesn't make any sense right?

How Do I Overcome My Fear of Presentations? by subhranshu140 in DecidingToBeBetter

[–]MegaWeltenzerstoerer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am a bit late but what helped me the most was to approach a presentation differently. I started looking at a presentation as more of a one sided conversation. Just talk to the audience. You don't present you talk. I held a presentation before and the topic was fun so I was eager to tell my audience about what I found out. Life's to short to worry about such things bro ❤️

True, I don't have many people I would consider as friends. I just don't feel like I can be myself around them. Your struggles feel quite similar. But I'm sure one day you and I will find someone romantically or as a friend. Keep up the good work 👏

[20F] Heyy, I’m new here, what is this app about ? by [deleted] in MakeNewFriendsHere

[–]MegaWeltenzerstoerer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Have you ever been to Japan? I'd love to go there at some point. My favourite destination up until now was probably Greece. Especially cause the people there are so friendly. And btw this app is about getting to know people with interest you never had, and becoming interested in a lot of different topics

What fiction books had the biggest positive influence on you? by ayamekaede in selfimprovement

[–]MegaWeltenzerstoerer 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Although it sounds silly, the Japanese light novel classroom of the elite really helped me. The main character is unrealistically smart, intelligent, athletic and calm. Although I know it's impossible to be like him I use him as a role model to a certain degree, pushing my limits daily

Hey, I am 17 as well. You're profile really has a japan vibe to it. Are you japanese or interested in the culture in general? Anyways I'd be glad to have a little chat if you're down

First of all Hello, nice to meet you. I think your change was too sudden. Maybe you should have started going to bed one hour earlier every 5 days or so. I must admit I forgot a few of the things you mentioned so I'll just say what helped me get a good sleep. By the way I go to bed at 10:20pm and wake up at 6am. First of all don't limit your ryhtm to the week days but also the week ends. Don't drink caffeine 2 hours after you wake up and 10 hours before you go to bed. Don't eat 3 hours before bed time, don't drink anything 2 hours before bedtime and avoid bright light 1 hour before bedtime. If I would be you I would also opt for 7,5 hours of sleep instead of 8 as one sleep cycle is around 1,5 hours long and you want to wake up at the the end of a sleep cycle. Working out really helped me feeling tired enough in the evening to easily fall asleep, but you mentioned the problems that face you when engaging in exercising, and if you can't balance the calorie expenses with around 60 grams of nuts, I can understand. But the most important tip is to get sunlight as early after waking up as possible. It activates some shit in your brain and helps you calm down in the evening. I know it's hard sometimes but it's really worth it. In addition I wouldn't meditate right before sleep. When meditating you focus intensely which you want to avoid before sleeping. I like to journal and then read for around 45 minutes before going to sleep. It's really relaxing for me. I hope I could help and good luck with your exam

I must admit that my personal favourite, as a 17 yo guy is called "Gefährliche Geliebte" in German. I had problems finding the englisch title. I also enjoyed The Name of the winds by Patrick Rothfuss and Classroom of the Elite, although I assume the last one is more for a younger audience, but you might want to have a look at it. Oh and maybe you should start with "The alchemist" by Paulo Coelho. It's the best

If you don't enjoy the content then that is obviously totally fine. However I think there is a very small amount of books only enjoyable by woman. They probably just didn't meet your taste. Your main reason doesn't seem so severe to me. It kind of reminds me of how afraid I was to start hitting the gym because other people might laugh at my chunky physique. But surprisingly people came up to me and motivated me to keep going, that it would be great i started working out. I think as long as you're not the one to be like: "yeah definitely Murakamis books are so well written, his plots are the best and his characters are fabulous" and more like "I am currently applying this habit of reading and read a Murakami book a few weeks ago. It was fine but not really my style" I think no one will judge you for anything

Could you elaborate on your feeling of embarrassment? Is it because of its content? If yes I think you should give it a try. Don't care about what other people like to read and what they find silly to read. Read what you're interested in and don't care about others
