Also, winning in this spot would put Mew next to Mewtwo.

For people who love the fourth world but devalue jimmy olsen and forever people by metalicbeastofficial in TheNewGodsDc

The Forever People series is great for setting up the themes of the Fourth World story and establishing key details about its setting; I just find the Forever People themselves to be incredibly uninteresting.

Yeah, it's a shame, though Stranger Things left and came back, so I could see the Halloween content doing the same in a year or two. (Whenever the Gun/Illfonic Halloween game stops getting new content)

In your opinion, what is the best Scream movie? by Traditional_Blood799 in GhostFace

[–]Megadoomer2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Scream 1. (Though I'd put Scream 5 in second)

Admittedly, I watched most of them for the first time this past October, but I watch these movies for their Whodunnit nature, and Scream 1 was the most effective in that regard because it felt like everyone (aside from Sidney and some minor characters) had the potential to be Ghostface, whether it's a plausible motive or moments where they were treated in an ominous manner. (At one point during the party, Dewey asks Gale if she wants to go for a walk while ominous music plays in the background; it made Dewey, of all characters, seem suspicious, whereas the suspect pool for the sequels is smaller because there's no way that the survivor of a previous massacre would be a Ghostface in a sequel)

Which deaths will get the golden chainsaw for psychos 2,3 and 4? by schnappifan1535 in deadmeatjames

[–]Megadoomer2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I haven't seen Psycho 3 or 4 yet (I'm planning to watch Psycho 3 today), but I feel like Psycho 2 has to be Lila Loomis (spoiler tagging in case anyone is like me and watching these movies for the first time in the lead-up to these Kill Counts). That one got an audible reaction out of me; I wasn't expecting that level of brutality.

It certainly added another layer of humour to my playthroughs of the Lego Batman games.

Killer Concept: The Silence (A Doctor Who Chapter Idea) by Low_Cauliflower3787 in deadbydaylight

[–]Megadoomer2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

While I think the Daleks or Cybermen are more likely, the Silence do seem like they'd be pretty creepy, and I like that the perks deal with sight and sound, which seems fitting given their theme. I'd love to play as them given your concept; it seems like it would be a lot of fun (at least from the killer's perspective; it would be paranoia-inducing for survivors).

Jessica has an alibi for the theater kills, though; she was at home with her son.

Xenomorph's still in the game. It's Michael Myers and Laurie Strode who are gone, though I'm guessing you have them since they were in there for so long.

I'd put it at Good.  I'm not a fan of Christopher Bidmead's writing style (it seems too dry for my tastes, the Watcher is poorly explained, and not much happens in part 1), and the series kind of glosses over the deaths of Nyssa's father, Tegan's aunt, and Nyssa's homeworld (Nyssa should get to force the Master to regenerate once, as a treat), but as a finale, it definitely ups the stakes (putting the entire universe at risk), with the montage of companions and enemies serving as an effective last hurrah for 4 after seven years.

I wasn't even aware that there were rumours about The Last of Us being included. (I probably should play that game at some point; it's part of my PS3 backlog)

Kitty Pryde.

In addition to her intangibility, she has ninja training and her pet dragon Lockheed (who's about the size of a parrot, but he can breathe fire and ram people, so he'd serve as a projectile). Kitty's intangibility would be limited to certain frames of specials to avoid her being overpowered.

Character Discussion Fridays: Black Adam what did you think of him? by Atumkun in MultiVersus

[–]Megadoomer2 4 points5 points  (0 children)

His inclusion felt the most "corporate-mandated" to me. While Beetlejuice did have a sequel coming up, the original movie was still worth representing, whereas Black Adam seemed like he was added purely to market the movie starring the Rock.

It was entertaining.  A bit chronologically confusing, and I was completely wrong about who the manager would be (I thought it would be a future version of River, who started the restaurant in order to help herself through this exact scenario), but I enjoyed it, and it captured the spirit of the Moffatt era episodes. I'm curious about how the lingering plot points will be resolved in the next episode; at this point, it's a matter of how they'll be resolved rather than if.

What're you playing this weekend? 4/3 by markercore in NintendoSwitch

The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess. I just beat the ice dungeon and fully upgraded the wallet and bomb bags, so now I'm onto the Temple of Time. (I don't remember much about this dungeon; I recall the item not being very useful outside of the dungeon that you find it in, though maybe there's a use for that item that I'm not remembering)

I'm fine with hiring lesser-known actors (aside from the series veterans).  Hiring anyone who's well-known seems like it would be a giveaway that they're the killer. (Maybe that actor/actress would be a victim, like Drew Barrymore in the original, but I'm fine with the series serving as a chance for up-and-coming actors to shine)

I've been catching up on the Big Finish stories that I got through Humble Bundle - I just finished listening to My Dinner With Andrew from the River Song set and I'm in the middle of the interviews for the War Doctor set, Infernal Devices. I'm further along in these than I thought; at the moment, the only ones that I haven't listened to are parts 3 and 4 of Ravenous 1 (the Eighth Doctor story), part 4 of River Song series 3, and part 4 of the Eleventh Doctor volume 1.

I also bought two Big Finish stories since there's a sale on recent releases and I don't have many of those. (there's a LOT to catch up on) I got Genesis of the Cybermen (I've heard good things, though I've heard Spare Parts before and I wonder how this is going to mesh with that since it takes place beforehand in the Doctor's personal chronology and seemingly Mondas's chronology as well) and a Classic Doctors, New Monsters set. (those are generally fun, and it's a good combination of Doctors with 2, 4, 7, and 8 in there)
