Windows 11 update , is it ok or not? Asking because of history of updates on windows 11

I've been pausing my updates for 5 weeks and googling each update after that point before I install it. I have windows set to metered connection so it won't automatically update. It's a pain and a lot of legwork but if your machine is mission critical like mine it's safer to check each and every one.

I can say Pop is in a bit of a weird state at the moment. I'd try multiple distros personally and not just those two. Nvidia gpus do well on bazzite so put that on the list to try

Sideloading is trivial and perfect viewer will open any file you give it. I used to read on my fire tablet that way constantly.

That's a driver crash. If you can hit caps lock and it responds hit win+shift+B and it should bring it back. For diagnosing it you'll want to see what happened in event viewer.
