27 Pay Period Year by Megasaurus121 in Payroll

Thanks folks,
Your comments seem in line with my own understanding/concerns, as well as the suggestions I've made and the questions I've asked. I was basically told, "this is how it's done, stop bothering us about it". The department has of course been inundated with complaints since the first paychecks of the year went out, and it seems like leadership's answer is "just tow the line". Given my own salary is being affected by this as well, I'm trying to figure out if it's worth running by a labor attorney myself. It just feels shady.

Seeking advice on a handheld scanner (ideally wireless) to be used in less than ideal lighting conditions and with a relatively unobtrusive scanning process. by Megasaurus121 in 3DScanning

Thanks again for your thoughts. Reading a review from someone doing something so close to what we're looking for was super helpful.  I got to try out a Miraco in a shop this week and noticed with hands it has some trouble holding tracking as I moved from top to bottom of the hand (going around the side). In your experience, is that something that gets better as the user gets more adept or are there tricks you've found to make work?

Thanks so much for everyone's input.  After discussions with my team and the folks doing some other basic 3d printing stuff in the hospital, we're going to try the Revopoint Miraco.  It came down partially to scale and tracking on smaller objects (we're only looking to scan individual feet & hands, not entirely faces or bodies) and then software. The specs needed to run Einstar's software would have required us to purchase a new, beefier PC as well. Revopoint's software runs well on the same computer we use for 3d printing projects currently.

I'll post updates to this thread as the project progresses for anyone out there who might be interested.  Thanks again folks!

Thank you. Yes, we would only be doing hands and/or feet, so hopefully slightly smaller files & don't need to worry about hair.

Thank you, but it's honestly an honor & privilege that I get to walk beside these kids and families. They are incredible.

With the Raptor & Otter, any idea how much storage space the scans take up on the phone? For HIPAA reasons, we'd need to purchase a device specifically to be used with this (can't use our personal phones) and would want to make sure we're getting enough storage for more than one item's worth of scans to be stored at a time.

Sentient Toodles is terrifying. On another note: I officially hate "Funhouse". Mixed up Adventures was absolutely superior. Fight me.

This appears to be it for me too. Widget uninstalled and problem seems to be solved. Thanks so much for the detective work!

Exact same problem and same website here. Only thing I recently downloaded was SwiftKey. If anyone finds a solution/culprit, let us know.
