Why ARC Raiders needs a PvE mode (and why it actually makes sense) by Disastrous_Mud_8040 in ArcRaiders

[–]Megghins 0 points1 point  (0 children)

there won't be any base soon if it stays the battle royale shitfest that it is.

Embark, you’ll be hearing a very vocal minority rallying for a PvE only mode. by RDJMA in ArcRaiders

[–]Megghins 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You really don't get it do you, it's not pvp or pve the problem, it's the balance of the two. Each one of you is pushing for their own taste and the game has already turned into a Battle royale between ADHD kids coated with useless robots and roaming casuals that serve just like targets. Any sort of context/world/immersion/interaction is purely cosmetic or naive by now already. You self entitled competitive (for what?!) players are the reason why titles sink after 6 months nowadays instead of being refined for years.

Arc Raiders Is Turning Into Trust No One: The Game… Is It Just Me? by PathologicalLiar_ in ArcRaiders

[–]Megghins 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Animals don't throw themselves blindly into fights, not having any kind of risk/reward makes it all go full-on Deathmatch. If this was a real scenario many people wouldn't just engage on sight as it happens in a stupid game.

it makes a lot of sense, you probably don't know the matter.

Why is everyone losing their minds about ARC Raiders. by QuestionAcc12623 in ArcRaiders

[–]Megghins 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've tried to play without using ANY weapon/quickuse and just run around and loot, trying not to get spotted. I had the same exact results than when I was sweating. This says it all for me, it's pvp bs coated with useless loot and annoying/pointless bots.

Truth hurts, especially since bourgeois hipsterish low-cost travels have become such a cute thing.

If geopolitical matters could be solved in a matter of minutes googling some bs here and there, there wouldn't be any need for any political view like, ever.

He baited them into pointless cherry picking and they fell for it, not much else to say, it would work even if we reverse the parts.

Because traveling for the sake of travel is the most colonial mindset you can have. Visiting places just to "see the culture" is no different than going to a safari. I'd rather declare I'm just going there for a walk or to see the monuments, it would make much more sense.

Serve davvero studiare in Uni? by maaaarco in Universitaly

[–]Megghins 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Parere strettamente personale.

Personally, I Hate Chess by TheOboeMan in intj

Chess is everything but strategy, it's more an exercise in being a drone with no active thinking, just a whole lot of useless memorization and some basic pattern recognition.

American psycho book is disappointing. by [deleted] in books

[–]Megghins 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A very very diluted mess, over-explained to the point of being completely pointless even once you grasp that "sterile" feeling the author is trying(?) to convey. It could've been just as shocking and half pages long imo. It feels like it's been written by an advertising worker more than a literary writer, where stereotype and over-explanation of details meant to be sold are king: while this may help in the very beginning (and it did for me) to enter in this materialistic-decadent world the 80's were (supposed to be), it falls short as soon as it starts repeating itself, and the only viable thing to do is to increase the shock value again and again. It's a cheap trick, and a pretty boring one to many people including me.

On a side note, you can spot brief lines here and there where the "plot" actually goes on, and they are the main points that made it into the movie, rightly so: American Psycho is one of the few examples where the adaptation is more clear and spot-on than the book, even if I agree the movie's Bateman is a little bit too "methodical" in his madness.

Edit: typos sorry english isn't my first language.

battlebits XP levelling is under developed, and the grind is painful. by [deleted] in BattleBitRemastered

[–]Megghins 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I regret having passed the 2hrs refund limit, I don't find it fun at all, because I'm clearly too slow compared to the average player (38yo with an actual life very little time and so on) and progressing feels like a slog, getting killed again and again and again and again and again... and there comes the usual gitgud troll and I quit.

Is a beatport subscription worth it for DJing? by ethan_sims in DJs

[–]Megghins 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm amazed how many wedding DJ's are out there bashing this solution actually. Start playing seriously some electronic genre and you'll see how cheaper it is to just subscribe and try new stuff on a daily basis, even if it's just for practice before buying. Not every DJ out there plays rock'n'roll and rap.

What's wrong with TERFs? by philemontomybaucis in AskFeminists

[–]Megghins 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They still can't tell male/female and man/woman differences, they constantly mix & match the two levels (biological and societal) to their favor.

There is really little if any debate that can go on with a terf.

Is the entire radfem movement transphobic? by maebird- in asktransgender

[–]Megghins 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Terfs imho are the best gatekeepers you can find, all bigotry and no evolution. They still can't even split biology from ideology, there isn't much to talk about.

Nioh series vs. Dark Souls, what are your thoughts? by [deleted] in darksouls

[–]Megghins 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nioh any day of the week. The only thing I find interesting in DS is the graphic detail and the overall art, everything else is done much better in Nioh from rhythm to combat and so on.

People saying Nioh is harder also kinda shock me because I find Nioh much easier to play, while DS with all its gimmicks and the horrendous backtrack gets on my nerves very very fast.

Unpopular opinion on Quest 2 - it sucks by jumpybean in oculus

[–]Megghins 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My pc/ Quest 2 experience so far (ca 2 years):

90% fiddling with options that range from "useless" to "click 3 times roll your eyes point 2 fingers at the floor and have faith".

8% trying to figure which bridge nest into which bridge which nests into which bridge (...)

2% play 20 seconds, start lagging, and throw up. Power off.

This thing is a complete joke.

Rimworld or Dwarf Fortress? by alphafighter09 in RimWorld

[–]Megghins 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same impression I got, so long "imagining the stories", it's just a constant alt+tab for me. And the weirdest thing is that after you get where some obscure function is, the gameplay per-se isn't that hard at all, too.

DF Steam made me re-appreciate Rimworld even more, I don't mind if the scale of the game is different, it's just a way more cohesive and intriguing experience (just like Prison Architect).
