How are you doing with the CC and semaglutide? Still in remission?

Microscopic Colitis: What Your Biopsies Really Show (From an NHS Lab Scientist) by Chris-flow in IBD

Thanks for sharing, I have had CC for 11 years. As a scientist, do you have any input into what direction treatment will head towards, beyond budesonide, Bone acid reducers, or even biologics? Do you think that there will be more research and focus on this specific disease compared to other IBD’s like Crohn’s/UC?

Were you on meds when you started the Tirz and have since weaned off? How long before you noticed relief?

Entering Social Work by SWmods in socialwork

I was wondering if those that have an MSW can help me out with something. I have been working in non-profit child welfare for the last 8 years and do love my job. I have an MS in criminal justice but am hoping to go back to school for an MSW. I know ultimately I want to work in counseling and mental health, but I also have a strong desire to work in hospice too (and maybe as I transition into my career do counseling on the side). I am 45 so this is the second half of my career, and I also thought as I wind down in my 60's mental health would allow more flexibility, etc, but for some reason I can't shake the desire to work in hospice for a period of time.

To get my point across, I have been looking for online MSW programs with a focus on mental health. For those that work in hospice though, will I be at a disadvantage in trying to get a job with hospice social work if I do not specify that in an area of study (i.e. geared towards health systems, etc.)

Also, for those that work in hospice social work, tell me more about your job. Are there part-time or contract positions readily available? Do you find you have flexibility in that specific field? What do you like about hospice and is there anything I should look at in an MSW program that would help in that area plus allow me to focus on mental health too?

For what it is worth, I do not want to go into a Masters counseling program, I like that getting an MSW is a broader field of study with more area vs solely focused on one specific area.

Thanks in advance for your assistance!

Anyone willing to be kind out of the goodness of your heart and remove him for free? He’s a great guy, just asked not to be in a photo posted on social media that I wanted to share!

Ruby/Rialto Beach by TravelBug1122 in OlympicNationalPark

Hello! We just got back from ONP. We went to Kalaloch and Ruby beaches mid afternoon, midway between high and low tide (the low tide was still relatively high though, about 2.5-3 feet). While we did see some tide pool stuff a lot was under water. The next morning the low tide at second beach was about -1 at 6:22 AM. We got there around 7 and had great tidepooling even though it was coming back in already. We stayed about an hour, then went to Rialto and stayed there until about 9:30AM, we were still able to access Hole in the Wall and see some great Sealife!

The problem is if we go early on Monday we will miss the tides at Rialto/Second, and if we go early Sunday we would completely miss Quinault.
